Protection Domain

we are configuring protection domain, we can see there one option in entity protected/unprotected. can anyone please explained what is the use?

Hi there!

if you chose ”protect” the VM will be protected in the ProtectionDomain, and replication of that VM will be made possible to another cluster if you like.

 

Simply press the protect button to ”add” the selected vm(s) to the protection domain.

If you for some reason, dont want the VM to be protected anymore, you can remove it from the protection domain by simply mark the VM in the Protected Entities ans press the Unprotect button.

 

Protect = Add 

Unprotect = Remove
