G8 nodes do not show bios version and cannot upgrade to a higher version from LCM

Hello All,

A problem I've come across recently is that 2 nodes in a cluster do not show a bios version in the inventory nor do they recognize that there is an available update for their bios. While another node that is the same hardware does. I’ve follow KB 10833 a bit but i was hesitant to do a reset to default the ipmi just yet. Has anyone faced something similar?

if it is production , I do recommend you open a support case.

if it is not a production environment, and you don't have active support for it,the guide you mentioned is for a specific error “"System does not meet Redfish requirements" and specific NCC 3.0.X, LCM 2.x version  , but if you like to give a try to solution there will be no harm to your system.

is this a dark site or you have access to internet?are you on latest LCM version ?
do you have any firmware/bios update available to be done ?

unfortunately it is a production system with no support.  This system does have access to the internet. There are firmware updates available for only one of these nodes for bios WU75.001. the 2 in question do not have any available via LCM. all 3 nodes are the same hardware model. if push comes to shove i can manually update them.
