Hello guys, Can anyone please help with NCC Health Check report on Email? The purpose is to receive NCC Health Check every week on Tuesday at 7.00 AM CET. I configured NCC report frequency via Nutanix Prism Central on each nutanix cluster But now I receive a report each Tuesday and Wednesday at 7.00 AM CET. I have tried a method to disable NCC frequency and setup it newly, but no results, no changes. For configuring I used guide - https://portal.nutanix.com/#/page/docs/details?targetId=Web-Console-Guide-Prism-v55:wc-ncc-frequency-configuration-t.html Thank you in advance
Hi Team, We are running few file servers (windows 2016 machines) which are running on Nutanix + VMware 6.5. For e.g. i have a 5TB VMDK attached to the VM which is holding up a lot of files (being a file server). Now when we check the size of this disk in VMware, we this as around 4TB consumed (similar figures in Prism as well). However within Windows, the actual space consumed is only 1 TB. The question is - how do we reclaim this space to match up the numbers seen by OS with what VMware believes the used space is. (i have seen some posts where users have mentioned using sdelete etc. but it isn’t really a scalable solution) Thoughts ? Thanks. Ravi
We just purchased Nutanix ( 2 Appliances , 3 nodes on each ) , we are planning to use VMware Enterprise plus on them. I've few questions, I would be more than happy if I get the answers: 1- if we used VMware, all Nutanix functions will be applied ? ( for example, if one HD failed, the data will be transfered to another Hard disk? ) 2- If I'm using 3 nodes, and I'm utlizing all the CPU and Memory and HD capabilities for all three, once one node goes down, how the VMs on this node will go to the other nodes while we are utlizing their full capacity? 3- if one node fail, the VMware VMs on this Node will be Automatically moved to another Node ? 4- In general, is there any difference if we used Acropolies or VMware ? will we get the same functions on Nutanix?
Greetings to all, After an update of the AOS from 5.8.2 to 5.10.5, the following alerts began to be received: IPMI sensor mismatch IPMI sensor data unavailable on host This is in a cluster with 3 Lenovo HX host, and all hosts have the same configuration when the cluster was created with the Foundations, I have already reviewed the access to the network to the BMC port and all the IPs respond and the users and passwords with correct. The 3 CVM's respond to the ping between them and the BMC port
We are trying to setup SCOM Management Pack 2.4 with SCOM 2012 server. I have created LDAP (Windows Domain) account for Prism and IPMI access, i do able to validate with prism account but i could not IPMI. I am using AOS 10.5 with NX 1065 G6.

I have tried to create IPMI local account and then tried to validate SCOM Management pack. It worked fine.
I tried to validate with LDAP account but i am getting below error. for better administration i am trying to use LDAP.
error validating ipmi account with "x.x.x.x" IP. Continue with next CVM Address? I have opened case with Nutanix. Just i want know whether Nutanix support to configure LDAP auth with SCOM. Any help will be much appreciated.
We've just gotten started with Nutanix, and I have a question about snapshots. Do I need to create a Protection Domain before I can create a snapshot? I'm not looking to take snapshots of a bunch of machines or have scheduled snapshots. I just want to make one snapshot of a single Windows server before I upgrade some software on it. We are running AHV as our hypervisor. Thank you
In the last few weeks we have been experiencing complete host CPU usage at 100% on all of our host(6 of them). We were never this high. When the system is at this level no one can do much on the ystem for a few minutes. The biggest change we did was add Bitdefender Gravity Zone to our system. We have about 650 VMs on the system. Memory usage hovers between 50-60% on all the hosts. We are running ESXI hypervisor with VMware Horizon to run our VDI system. Anyone have an insight into this situation? Is there any tweaking I need to do? What could be causing this?
Can someone confirm the drive placement for SSD and the SATA drives in our Dell XC740xd servers? On one cluster of servers, there are four SSD drives in bays 0-3 and in the other two clusters the SSDs are in the last four bays. I have only seen the SSD drives in the first four drive bays.
Hi A remote site on AWS has been configured earlier. The time sync drifted too far but that has been fixed. The remote site in Data Protection has this alert "Remote site connectivity not normal." It is an AWS instance. The remote CVM IP address is 10.162.10.115. The host ipaddress is unknown, the firewall rules are fully open and replication seems to be occuring. There is a site to site VPN specificaly for this instance It looks as though the aWS remote site was never configured with the local cluster as a remote site which is what most of the webinars and documentation suggest. The IP address will not open a web page on http or https, the only communication available to the AWS node is SSH. How does the configurationof the remote site get completed or how do I get rid of this alert ?? Prisim: 5.6.1 NCC Version: 3.5.2 LCM Version: 1.4.2381 Nutanix 20170830.124 (in cluster, standard AWS instance) Thanks
hi, my client want to migrate all their sles 12 vm's from AHV to their ESXi farm (SAP Hana), currently i'm using the vmware converter but not success, got error cannot query live Linux machine.. i did try this --> https://acropolis.ninja/export-a-vm-from-nutanix-ahv-to-vmware-esxi/ but process stuck in qemu-img convert, and my cvm will give an error "CVM Services Restarting Frequently".. any suggestion to make more easier? cheers, paLee
Hi everyone, I m new to Nutanix and have just deployed my first cluster. I did all the updates I could find in Upgrade Software Settings. It brought the nodes up to 220.127.116.11 . I tried to run the checks again and it shows no available versions. I saw the notice for the release of 5.16 so I downloaded the manual update binary file and meta file. When I try to update it says unsupported. Edit: NOT SUPPORTED Current version was released after the Target version was released. Upgrading to Target Release version is not supported in this case. I check the support upgrade path wizard in My Nutanix and it says the 18.104.22.168 is newer then the 5.16 yet they were released the same day!? The Upgrade path shows that if I had the 5.11.2 I could update to 5.16 but not 22.214.171.124 ?? Will Nutanix have an update path for this? or am I stuck for a while? thanks everyone. Scott
Hi there, i’m trying to get an overview about using Rest API for Provisioning of nfs Ressources. Are there any examples for typical tasks (f.e. add/delete nfs share)? I can’t find any so far….. Thanks a lot for every helpful comment! :-) Daniel
