What is the average level of risk for io bandwidth? When is the risk level of disk IOPS measured? ㅠㅠ This is a very subjective question I'm afraid depending upon workload and hardware.I have some clusters with 70k iops and 1ms latency and some different ones with 5k iops and 3ms latency. Both are happy and working.I'd recommend establishing baselines for your clusters on what is 'normal' for them and investigate deviations from this. I found a noisy VM generating lots of writes pushing up the avg latency this way well before it was a problem.

Hello, Yes absolutely, set your baseline on a ‘good experience’ so you know what has changed if you have a bad experience. The built in thresholds are good worst case scenarios when something is up, but you’d rather know earlier ;)

Hey, We spent a lot of time with syslog... It is a convoluted mess of documentation and skew between PE and PC but we managed to get there.We have the prism and aplos logs enabled and get good results. I can dig out the specifics if you like.
I've been deploying some Fujitsu XF8055 nodes this week too. Definitely recommend separating use of the irmc/ipmi and dedicated ports to avoid the blip on boot when you lose it.In the simplest configuration I'd suggest you to have the ipmi and a 10g port into the same switch as your foundation setup to get past this point. Good luck.

Thanks Jeroen :) One thing to be aware of (I'm burnt from syslog setup) is if you aren't careful you can wipe your config out when moving between PC and PE settings.Let me know if you need a dump of our config process, it works.... (For now!)
Can you tell us how the equipment is connected in terms of nics, switches etc.Are you seeing alerts on Prism Element?Can you transfer between esxi hosts directly (boot media to boot media) with speed?Support will be best placed to help here.What hardware is it?
Ok cool. So if you SSH into esxi on node1 can you run df -hWe need to see if we have some local (non Nutanix) storage at hardware level so we can try to orchestrate testing without cvm/virtual storage.

AUDIT - Seeds the "consolidated_audit.log" which is used to track ergon tasks that result in changes to the cluster and UVMs. CASSANDRA - Stores and manages all of the cluster metadata CEREBRO - Responsible for replication and DR capabilities CURATOR - Responsible for managing and distributing tasks throughout the cluster GENESIS - Responsible for any services interactions (start/stop/etc.) as well as the initial configuration PRISM - Management gateway for component and administrators to configure the cluster, monitor the cluster and track logins (successful and unsuccessful) . Hey This sounds like a scary situation..That third node failing will make for a harder time generally because iirc even changing all containers from RF3 to RF2 will still mean the cluster services are RF3 anyway and last time I checked you couldn't change that config without a rebuild.Are you planning on replacing the failed nodes, maybe you could use the parts from the two failed to make one working to bring back in to protect against the impact of the third failure.I don't know if the system will let you make these changes to the RF on the fly whilst in a failure state but it'd be good to know…I suspect there's too many moving parts here it'd be wise to open a case with support and look at the specifics.

Hey,Yeah, I had to do this recently because I couldn't use Foundation.Did you generate the Phoenix ISO, including the hypervisor image etc.?You shouldn't land at a prompt, it should boot into an installer.
Aha, I suspect that's the problem, I don't think you have the AOS and hypervisor baked in.Take a look at this, ignore it being Lenovo How to create a Phoenix ISO or AHV ISO from a Controller VM for the ThinkAgile HX SeriesYou're after the command that includes the AHV and AOS bits. You can do this from the foundation VM on a laptop etc. to make the ISO, then boot from it on your host.It's discouraged as Jeroen said because foundation is easier, but occasionally, we have to do these things :)I'll be in my office in a few hours time if you need step by step commands :)
