Hello everyone,I currently have several old VMs that have been turned off for more than 2 years. No one in my workplace can tell me or remember what are they for. I am considering deleting them (to release storage), but before doing that is there something I should check before? Could those VMs be connected with online VMs in anyway for production?Could I take a useful snapshot, even though I will delete the VM afterwards?

Good day dearsI have 2 nutanix blocks, each 3 nodes , I have the following questions:I have vSphere license and I want to install it on the nodes, I only have prism element ( don`t have prism center) , should this work or I have to buy vCenter? While connecting the nodes to the same switch besides the firewall, should the switch be on access mode in order to Discover the nodes while using foundation, or I can segment the nodes through VLANS?

Hello Community!! I'd like to discuss an ambiguous issue. There is an 3-nodes Hybrid Storage AHV cluster set to RF2. In this case, each node has 70% storage usage. Each node’s storage capacity is same.Of course, it's 70 percent overall. The data resiliency status is critical. That cluster has enough CPU and memory. The problem comes up from here.If one node goes down, will data rebuild occur? If data rebuilding occurs, the total cluster capacity will be over 95%.That would cause problems with the cluster's IO. Is there anyone who can clearly tell me how the cluster works in the event of a failure in that situation.

Hello,Seeking for advice, I have 3 nodes cluster having problem with node B DIMM is undetected. I’m planning to reseat my DIMM, if I will just manually move the VMs to node A and C then perform a shutdown on node B without entering maintenance mode does the VM will join back to node B?Can please also share a link to a document to refer for the procedure.
Hi,Looking to automate some reports using the Rest API. So far I can successfully pull out CPU, RAM and Physical & Logical storage cluster wide and snapshot details but am unable to calculate the values as shown on the capacity runway when viewing a cluster in PC.. specifically the storage usage figure for ‘snapshots’ and ‘system.Anyone know how these are calculated? Thanks

Nutanix Clusters Console receives the results of the status checks performed by AWS to see the status of the instances.Status checks on AWS are performed every minute, returning a pass or a fail status. If all checks pass, the overall status of the instance is OK. If one or more checks fail, the overall status is impaired. There are two types of status checks, system status checks, and instance status checks. System status checks monitor the AWS systems on which instance runs. Instance status checks monitor the software and network configuration of individual instances. If Nutanix Orchestrator detects that AWS has marked system status or instance status of an instance impaired, following WARNING message will be seen in the Notification Center of the Nutanix Clusters Console: More information on - http://portal.nutanix.com/9704 What does Nutanix Cluster On AWS mean :- Nutanix Clusters provides a single platform that can span private and public clouds but operates as a single c

It enables administrators to take inventory of the firmware and software in their Nutanix environment and perform updates in a simple, cluster-aware, fashion. LCM adds a management layer and logic that deploys firmware/software upgrades taking into account upgrade paths and potential conflicts between versions. LCM performs two operations: Inventory: Detects what can be managed on a cluster. Update: Performs an update to a certain version. We’re over a hump day, and I would like to share an insight that may come handy to those of you that upload binaries to their clusters manually. Did you know that you have seven days to use the upgrade package that you uploaded to the cluster manually before it is removed from the file system? That’s right. Even if you have triggered pre-upgrade checks for the version, but the package is not used it deleted automatically. Make sure to clean up uncompressed software location and check the /home space on a CVM before you re-attempt the upload.KB-10300 Uploaded AOS upgrade binary is unavailable on Prism has more information To wrap your head around upgradesAll things considered — upgrade sequence and preaparation guidelinesFoundation of a successful upgrade - up to date FoundationNutanix upgrades FAQ: AOS, LCM, NCC, Hypervisors, Files
