When is CVM and Host maintenance mode needed and why?

Hi  My Nutanix Cluster System is in Darksite(no internet) so require to do a Download and bring it to direct upload.I am still confused on why and when do we need to put the CVM and host in maintenance mode? as the upgrade guide did not mention about putting the CVM or host in maintenance mode as per below.ProcedureOn Prism Central clusters, do these steps. Perform an LCM inventory, which also updates the LCM framework. Do not upgrade any other software component except LCM in this step. Upgrade and run Nutanix Cluster Check (NCC) on Prism Central. Upgrade Prism Central. On Prism Element clusters, upgrade LCM and NCC, then run NCC. Perform an LCM inventory, which also updates the LCM framework. I have tried to write [] and other 3rd level keys in my Linux machine, but I am unable when connected through “Launch Console” in Nutanix.Workaround such as shift+ctrl+u (and then some code for the wanted key) does not work either.Is this a Nutanix “thing”, and if so, is there a fix or is there a workaround?

Manual License Selection Option To Select Desired Licenses For The Cluster

Manual license selection allows the customer to select specific licenses available in the customer account and apply the selected licenses to the cluster. This feature can be used when: Mixing license types (e.g., Life-of-Device and Capacity Based Licensing) in a single cluster Selecting term licenses with specific expiration dates Selecting licenses tagged for specific use cases (e.g., owned by a particular organization) Manual license selection is available as an option to license products on Prism Element and Prism Central.  Where is the Manual License selection option?You see it on the portal’s ‘Manage licenses’ page displayed after .csf file from Prism (PC or PE appropriately) is uploaded. What is Application Monitoring?

Application monitoring provides visibility into integrated applications by collecting application metrics using Nutanix and third-party collectors, providing a single pane of glass for both application and infrastructure data, correlating application instances with virtual infrastructure, and providing deep insights into applications performance metrics. The monitoring integrations dashboard allows you to view information about select applications, such as SQL Server instances, running in the cluster. Protection Domain Based DR

Hi, I am having two physical sites with on-prem nutanix cluster. I am trying to config async dr from primary to secondary site every one hour. So the snapshot will trigger every one hour and replicate to the secondary site. I read in the portal , the first replica is a full copy and the subsequent are incremental. My question here is , once my first replica, which is a full copy of my data was completed to the secondary site and certain period of time, my first replica will expire and deleted based on my retention configuration. In that case, how can I restore my full data with the help of incremental snapshot from the remote site?

Expand Node Dell XC750 AHV

I got existing 3 nodes with Dell XC740 running with AHV. And I’ve order new 3 nodes x Dell XC750 but it came with factory install ESXi 7.0.Question is any special instruction do before adding new node to the existing cluster and I would like to new node XC750 to run the same AHV hypervisor in existing cluster too.
