When we add sysprep for windows vm to booot and configure windows as defined in xml file.how we can set to use only specific drive letter for sysprep cidata drive to execute and complete the sysprep script.

AHV 100GB Networking Support

We got a couple of servers with 2 x Dual Port 100GB Ethernet Adapters and 1 x Dual Port 10/25GB Ethernet Adapter, I need some clarity if AHV supports uplink speeds of 100GB. From the documentation I’ve been reading on the support portal, it mentions that AHV cluster networking only supports 10, 25 and 40GB (https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/solutions/details?targetId=BP-2105-Linux-on-AHV:nutanix-ahv-cluster-networking.html). Does this mean that those speeds are only for AHV / AOS and a separate bridge can be created with the 100GB uplinks for the virtual machine traffic?

Windows 2022 - GUI Installation - Steps Automation

I am newbie for nutanix, please provide me the relevant information or links to gather the same information.I create a VM for windows 2022 and that can be done via Nutanix API. But once the VM is power on then 2022 desktop experience, i need to select things in order to proceed with installation. I want to automate this process.Create a VM Power ON the VM Complete windows server 2022 installationBasically, I want to install the windows 2022 without manual intervention. So, that with the single click or script full installation happens without waiting for my inputs. if it can be done via API or someone created script related to ansible or terraform to the same just let me know.

Hello technical leaders,Yesterday, I recieved the letter about KB-14514. It is HP firmware issue.There is,---------------HPE DX380/DX360 G10 Plus: Filesystem Errors and I/O errors on a hypervisor boot volume・Identification:The node is HPE DX380 G10 Plus FSC or HPE DX380 G10 Plus. It may have different number of drives such as 12, 24, etc. Has HBA controller HPE-NS204i-x-Gen10-Boot-Controller. HPE-NS204i-p-Gen10+ Boot-Controller with part number P12965-B21 or HPE-NS20i-r-Gen10+ Boot-Controller with part number P26463-B21.The host in most instances will be unreachable via SSH and not allow console logins.Filesystem inode errors and potentially other filesystem errors will be displayed on the IPMI console. AHV software upgrade unavailable after upgrading AOS to 6.5.3.7

Hi, I’m stuck while upgrading software on LCM.AOS(6.5.3.7) and others(Foundation,NCC ..etc)upgrades were successful, but the only thing I cant see on LCM is AHV hypervisor. I unzipped several versions(higher than 20201105.2267), and I even directly uploaded on LCM, but nothing shows up at Software Firmware Update tab. Attached is capture of Inventory How Can I solve this problem? Are these versions compatible?

Packer - Nutanix Builder

Hello,I'm working on building a Debian 12 image for Nutanix, but I found it difficult to start the automatic Debian installation process (DebianInstaller). Unlike other virtualizers that I have worked with so far, Nutanix does not have the "boot_command" parameter to start the self-installation process.Is there any documentation or tutorial on how to proceed in this case?Thanks for any guidance.

Download OVA via SCP/SFTP from Prism Central

Hello,I have seen other posts similar to this subject, yet could not find a way to get the OVA files to be downloaded to a NAS solution ?Since from the GUI for the admin the maximum idle timeout is 1 hour, and I have about 5 TB total , can we get them with via filezilla / winscp (any one knows the path of the OVA files) , hopping will not disconnect after some time 😂, a none admin user will not see the OVA tab.I hope this is not the only wayhttps://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=Prism-Central-Guide-vpc:mul-vm-export-as-ova-pc-t.html Please ignore disk transformation via Nutanix or other backup software(s).Thanks

initial deployment error

Hi,I have a 3 node nutanix cluster, when initial deployment with foundation portable due to low space in my disk, the deployment failed. When trying to redeploy we are unable to deploy. We are unable to reset the node to its factory form. Is there any way to initiate a deployment?

Hi, anybody help me on below query, We have a three node AHV Nutanix cluster which is running on 1 Gig TOR Switch, now we are replacing the 10 Gig TOR switch instead of 1 Gig TOR Switch. is there any impact for the cluster..?what are the steps need to take to perform this activity…? Thanks,Ashok.

Cluster DOWN. Unable to access IPMI because lacked of credential

I got an issue where the cluster is DOWN and I unable to access the CVM and AHV via SSH. I have requested for credential to access IPMI, but they do not found any valid credential to access IPMI, even with a default password. There 4 nodes in 1 block, which I only have an access to 1 node [CVM and AHV]. I also unable to access the Prism. Is there any possible way to UP the cluster? Besides, I unable to create case to support.

Can we define a kind of "VM class" in a Nutanix cluster?

I would like to know if there is a way to define a kind of "VM class" in a Nutanix cluster, similar to what I can do with VMware's resource pool. The objective is to limit excessive CPU and IOPS usage. Volume Groups - Which API v3 or v2 & Ansible Module Nutanix NCP

Hello Everyone I have been building Ansible Playbooks to automate Nutanix VM builds and I have the need to create and attach a volume group to some of the VM’s. The Nutanix NCP module from Ansible Galaxy has been pretty much the only module I could locate that really handles the vm creation well. What I have found is that depending on where you go there are conflicts in whether or not version 3 or version 2 of the API is supported.While using the API explorer on Prism Central it is shown as volume_groups and appears exposed. When reviewing docs and next.nutanix, various API information it appears it should work but doesn’t and I can’t seem to locate any good examples.Anyone here willing to share code or direction on what they have working for volume group creation and management. I am currently on working with 2 clusters with Prism Central deployed. I am hopeful I can find a functional example of ansible or api calls that manage volumes and thank anyone in advance for their help.
