Hello All, I was trying to deploy Nutanix AOS 5.15.1 and HyperV2016 on 03 Lenovo HX-2321 nodes using Foundation 4.5.4.At the first time, the deployment failed with this message : "Fatal running pre-install sanity tests" for each of the 03 nodes. Please see below all the related log messages :==================================================================2020-08-18 17:02:12,832Z DEBUG Setting state of <ImagingStepValidation(<NodeConfig(10.105.254.200) @b390>) @be70> from PENDING to RUNNING2020-08-18 17:02:12,838Z INFO Running <ImagingStepValidation(<NodeConfig(10.105.254.200) @b390>) @be70>2020-08-18 17:02:12,845Z DEBUG Cache MISS: key(<function common_validations at 0x0399D2B0>_()_{'global_config': <foundation.config_manager.GlobalConfig object at 0x0518B890>})2020-08-18 17:02:12,845Z INFO Validating parameters. Hello Everybody,Hope you’re all doing well !I want to install Nutanix using Foundation.I have 3 Lenovo nodes and one Cisco 2960X switch that consists of 24 x 1 Gig RJ45 ports and 04 x 1 Gig SFP ports.Unlike Supermicro nodes, Lenovo nodes do not have Shared IPMI ports. So, for each Lenovo node, I have to connect 01 x 10 Gig port and 01 GbE IPMI Port to the same CISCO 2960X switch (10 Gig ports of the nodes connected to 1 Gig SFP ports of the switch and 1Gig IPMI ports to the 1 Gig RJ45 ports ).Please take a look of the picture below…Since 10 Gig ports of the nodes are connected to 1Gig ports of the switch, I wonder if this architecture can allow me to install nutanix and create the cluster without any issues ? Thanks in advance.
Hello All, How should I provide SMTP Server settings when the mail server is in the cloud (Office365) ?As shown below, I tried with this mail server smtp.office365.com but the “email test” failed : Thanks in advance.
Hello all,Is it possible to install the french version of Windows server 2016 using nutanix foundation ?I wonder this because in the iso whitelist, I only see english versions of windows server 2016 as supported versions.Thanks.
Hello Community,I want to configure replication and failover plans between 2 separate Nutanix clusters, both running ESXi hypervisor.I do have Vmware SRM licenses and I am aware of these 2 possibilities :1. Replicate VMs using Nutanix Protection Domains (either with Async DR or with Metro Availability) and configure Failover scenarios with SRM via Nutanix SRA2. Replicate VMs using VMware vSphere Replication Appliance and configure Failover scenario with SRMMy question is which of the possibility would you recommend ? which is better in terms of performance and flexibility ?Thanks.
Hello Team,Hope your are all doing well We need to size a New Nutanix Cluster for Disaster Recovery purposes of an existing cluster (04 x NX-8155-G7 with AHV).Before that, we need to scale the Existing platform by adding more compute ressources to support additionnal workloads. We were able to do it easily : we used a Scenario in Prism Central and added the workloads and clicked on the “Recommend” Button (please see pic below) : Now, we are not able to do the following :Size the additionnal storage related to retention of local snapshots (for the Production Cluster) Size the Cluster of the DR Site : We used Nutanix collector to collect performance of the existing platform and next we exported the Excel Output file and imported it to Nutanix Sizer. We faced from the following :We are not able to inject the additionnal Workloads for the Production cluster We are not able to add the addtionnal storage related to retention of remote snapshots. Please do you have any idea to correctly size
I am configuring Leap on 2 remote clusters running AHV and I have performed the following :Deployed Prism Central on each cluster Enabled Nutanix Leap on each AZ Paired the 2 clusters successfully Created Protection Policies and replicated some VMs (it works properly as I am able to manually perform a restore on the target cluster)When creating a recovery plan, on network settings page, production and test failover subnets (for the remote site) are not shown and a message 'no options available' is displayed in the GUI.Please see below : Do you have an idea of what is wrong ? Is there anything missing ?Thanks.
We want to implement Nutanix Leap On premise between two clusters. The two cluster are installed on different locations (4km between the two sites). The two clusters are intented to be active, so each cluster must replicate VMs to each other (Cluster A → Cluster B and Cluster B → Cluster A)As per the documentation, we need an instance of Prism central on each site, which represents an Availability Zone. For easy management purposes, we want to be able to manage all the 2 clusters from a single pane of glass; is it possible to have a third Prism central instance to manage all these 2 clusters ?How this could be implemented?
Hello All,I have a concern about Failover test while using Async replication with On-premise Leap. For test purposes, Nutanix recommend to use a Test virtual Network that must be isolated from the Production Network. Is it a good option to create a virtual Network without any NIC bound for the test network ? Thanks.
