5 Essential Tips for Maximizing Your Experience at Nutanix .NEXT for Bloggers
Hi @MayurK. Thanks for reaching out. As of now, we have the implementation of Prometheus/Grafana in Nutanix Karbon (enterprise-grade Kubernetes Certified distribution that simplifies the provisioning, operations and lifecycle management of Kubernetes). We do not have a doc that demonstrates the implementation of Prometheus/Grafana for Nutanix Prism Element clusters as of now. Should we implement this in the near future, I or someone from the Nutanix community shall update this thread!.

HI @Rominee - Its unfortunate that you did not receive help from Nutanix Support. Let me see how I can help. Can you kindly share the below details: 1.) Are you able to ping your IPMI IP from the system where you are launching your browser to point to your IPMI IP? If no, then there could be some network issues. 2.) You can also try mounting the ISO from a working CVM provided, you are able to ping the IPMI IP from the CVM that you are trying to mount the ISO from. You can follow the procedure outlined in the below KB: https://portal.nutanix.com/#/page/kbs/details?targetId=kA032000000bn1xCAA If you are not able to access the above link, kindly let us know and I shall share the steps.
Hi @MdFarooq - I assume that you have access to Nutanix knowledge base. If yes, you can access the data that you are looking for using the link provided below.https://portal.nutanix.com/kb/000001553 For those who do not have access to Nutanix KB’s, I’m pasting few useful powershell commands for Hyper-V network management. To list all the network adapters, type: get-netadapter To set something on the network adapter, type: set-netadapter This structure of the Hyper-V commands works anywhere in Windows PowerShell. Remember this structure and you can use most of the Hyper-V commands. You can also use the Tab key to complete the commands. The tab-completion tool not just completes commands, but also looks through all possible completions. This makes it easy to figure out the flags. Use the Get-help command to access the man pages. In a CMD window, type powershell to access Windows PowerShell. If you are in Windows PowerShell, your prompt string starts with PS. If you accidentally close
Hi @ajeidani - If the VMs are still available on Prism UI post restarting Prism, then the issue could be that the entry for that VM still lies in IDF. The entity would be corrupt and needs to be removed from the database itself. However, to remove this from the database, you would need to open a support case as this involves using a script which is INTERNAL. Kindly let us know if you have tried the above procedure and still no luck.
Hi @mshanley. Thanks for reaching out to us and yes, support reads the posts users post on this community :) To fix this, I request you to kindly open a case with us so that we can collect a few more information and raise a bug with engineering to get this fixed. Kindly upload the output of the following commands to the case as well while opening the ticket. NCC command: # ncc health_checks run_all # ncc hardware_info show_hardware_info # ncli host ls # ncli ru ls # ncli ms ls # ncli cluster info If we have a similar setup as yours, we shall try reproducing the issue internally and will release the fix ASAP.
@tbailey1 - You can use the below command to achieve the same: for i in $(hostips); do ssh root@$i esxcli network ip dns server add --server=10.136.100.40; esxcli network ip dns server remove --server=8.8.8.8; esxcli network ip dns server add --server=10.1.1.2; done Do let me know if the above helps!!
