5 Essential Tips for Maximizing Your Experience at Nutanix .NEXT for Bloggers
How Nutanix protection domain replication can be encrypted, is there any default encryption available or we need to enable the encryption. Yes. Nutanix supports this feature. You can check below for details.PD-Based DR 6.7 - Replication Traffic Encryption (nutanix.com)
Let me clarify more clearly:You can see below that CG in Nutanix Disaster Recovery supports only Async replication schedule. No Nearsync.
Alright, so to answer to your original post, as nearsync is built on async mecanism, i’d say CG are fully supported. https://www.nutanix.com/blog/nutanix-dr-multi-site-recovery About configuration of CG in a nearsync environment : https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details/?targetId=Prism-Element-Data-Protection-Guide-v5_16:wc-dr-near-sync-c.html on step 3 within Configuring NearSync Disaster Recovery I know PD with PE could support CG in a nearsync environment. But how about Leap with PC? I checked the guide, it only support Async replications for CG.
Hello ! What do you mean by “CG” ? CG means consistent group.
Hello @LinKan From Read prospective, There is no performance impact From Write prospective, you are using NVMe SSD, you will have 1 tier in the extend store, 1st copy will be written locally, then another 2 copies will be sent to 2 another nodes. The main factor here in the performance is the Network configuration, I recommend 25GB ports. The most important question is, what is your cluster I/O latency now at RF2? @Moustafa Hindawi : We use 40GB ports for network traffic within Nutanix clusters. From overall cluster level response time, we can see less 1 ms except some high response time which is caused by SQL backup and restore period. I have another question for “How Nutanix deifne the write complete”: will Nutanix treat host write operation complete until two copies are written or just local copy is written. I think it is key for performance impact.
If I used dark site, is that means I need config dark site config?
Hello @Moustafa Hindawi :You can check below: I followed the LCM dark site guide to setup the local web server.
Hello @LinKan You need to unpack the archives to the /var/www/html/release directory. Hi @Moustafa Hindawi : Absolutely I have unpacked the archives to the release directory. You can see directory modules and the related tgz and sign. But could not work.
