Hi Linkan, These qualification are from OEM as the core AOS/NCI is now qualified in upcoming weeks the OEM will also announce the support for the same. F>P Hi Farhanparkar:I am excited that Nutanix supports ESXi 8.0 now. I wish next LTS will come in a short time, so that we will upgrade AOS version to next LTS version. After that, we plan to upgrade our ESXi from 7.0.3 to 8.0.
my vm size is 500gb but used space is 48gb, my replication still running after 55gb, may i know the reason 55gb?
@nishantpanchal @Moustafa Hindawi : We have checked with IBM SP(TSM) and EMC Networker & PPDM, both said no ablity to backup objects stored in Nutanix Objects. I have another question: If we could do snapshot using Nutanix own technology to backup objects stored in Nutanix Objects? Thanks!
Remove the schedule and re-add it later. Will Nutanix consider to add this feature? I think this feature is useful for large replication environment and due to some reasons, customers want to pause the ongoing replication. It will save labor with the current solution: “Remove and re-add”.
Hey @LinKan , a fairly common solution for protecting your object data is to set up streaming replication to another Nutanix Objects instance (on separate physical cluster, ideally remote) and enable versioning for past restore point capabilities. You can also choose to not replicate delete markers, thereby ensuring that even if an object was deleted at source it will still be available on the target bucket. Customer may has some on-premise traditional backup idea: Daily incremental backup and do the monthly full backup and so on. So that’s I want to get the solution. Currently, we did some testing for VEEAM, it fulfill the requiements from customer.
I don’t think you can change container from RF3 to RF2. I think one more suitable option is: Create a new storage container with RF2 and then migrate workloads from RF3 storage container to storage container. But I am not sure if AOS 5.20 supports this or not.
I think if you configured the SMTP, the pd related warning will send out.
