Sizing error: VMs in cluster shouldn't exceed total cluster nodes

Hi,

I’m trying to make some changes to a configuration I put together for a customer, in relation to the Mine backup. I am trying to alter any aspect (in particular I’m trying to change the retention to be longer, wtih  fewer VM’s) - but each time I try I get the error “ The number of Server Virtualisation VMs in cluster: CLUSTER should not be more than total nodes in the cluster. “

Anyone know what this is please?

Hi @SiW-Ts

Report this issue to sizer@nutanix.com , maybe it’s a bug.

Moustafa,

Thanks for the reply - the primary workload was in one cluster and the backup (Mine) in another. But each time I try to modify the workload I get the error. However if I create a new backup cluster each time for Mine, I don’t get the error.

Hello @SiW-Ts

Mine license doesn’t support run VMs inside it, its license for storing backup files inside as a NAS or Objects, only exception the Backup infra VMs and not more than 1 VM per node. That’s the rule.

If you adjust the source VMs numbers, make sure the source VMs (Which needs to be backed up) in as separate AOS cluster.
