Hi All

I have something odd in my Network view in Prism - I have 3 switches ( 1 switch is a 2 switch stack) but the view shows 5 switches, 2 classified as None. The None entries have the ip addresses of one of the single recognised switches and the stack which is already identified. The other odd thing is that the Nones have ports that I would expect to see in the identified switches. Can anyone tell me how to correct this?

Erik-The_Viking, what AOS version are you on?
We can’t post the script, I’m afraid. You would have to log a support case. But if you refernce your old case where this was resolved, it would be quicker for the engineer to resolve the issue for you.

I am looking at the status of the issue to see if it has been resolved and integrated and if it has been, then what’s the version.

Oh dear the same problem is back again, any chance Nutanix can just give me the script?

HI All

Just to close this conversation and I said I would feed back - the issue was fixed by a support script and a reboot. All is well now.

Have a pleasant day to all.

Hi Craig

Thanks for the information - I'll post back if support fix it.
Yep, that is probably it. It was the stale IP addresses that were the issue. This was my case number if support wants to reference it quickly: 00409086

Question for you. Did you originally have one set of switches and replace them with different switches? It turns out that there were stale entries in Arithmos for the network switches. Nutanix support removed the stale entries via a script and problem is resolved.

Hi Craig
No it is the same switches as I had from the beginning, but I did change the Host and CVM IP addresses so maybe that could be a similar problem - I will open a ticket. Thanks for the heads up.

I have been working with Nutanix support on a similar issue. No resolution yet.

Hi All

An update to my anomaly - I now have 6 switches in the view and still no answers on how to fix this.

Is there a way to clear down all the switches and information held in Nutanix and then re-add? I have deleted the switches and added them in but I still get the NONE entries.

Another oddity is that one of the Hosts seems to show both eth0 and eth1 connections going to a single port on one of the NONE switches - explanations on a postcard please...?
