Hi All,

I have a HP GL380p G8 and I have

  • 1x30GB SSD
  • 1 x 400GB SSD
  • 2 x 600 SAS

When i start the install it asks for the location to install the hypervisor, CVM and what are data disks.  Can I use the 30GB SSD for the hypervisor and the CVM. This will leave the 400GB SSD for performance tier and the 2 x 600GB for normal tier.

Hi @gajh

If this is a new node/cluster you would use Foundation in which case the process is automated and you wouldn’t need to select disks. The fact that you have these questions implies that you are using Phoenix but that would mean that you already have a cluster and a node is corrupt?

Both hypervisor and the CVM should be installed on the SATADOM/M.2 drive. Well, the CVM will have it’s base "configuration" file for the CVM, as well as a small ISO called svmboot.iso on the SATADOM/M.2.
