I know this can be done with the NX hardware using the IPMITOOL utility pre-installed, but we’re starting to use HPE hardware and I wondered if anyone knew how to change the iLo administrator login password via cmdlet?  We’ve scripted this for NX line and looking to do the same with HPE’s as a part of our deployment scripting.

I know this is pretty old, but I wanted to provide an update.  IPMITOOL also works for HPE iLo so come to find out we could use the same code.  That link worked, but clicking on the “Download” button took me to a “product not found” page.  This one worked for me:

Software Details - Scripting Tools for Windows PowerShell (x64): iLO cmdlets | HPE Support

Not sure about doing this via nutanix command line, but the easiest way I have found to do this is via the HPE Powershell Cmdlets. They can be downloaded here: https://buy.hpe.com/us/en/software/infrastructure-management-software/system-server-management-software/system-server-software-management-software/scripting-tools-for-windows-powershell/p/5440657
