1 gig & 10Gig ports in single NIC team - hyper-v cluster

Hi,

We are planning a new install where:
  • we only have 1G BaseT (RJ45) ports on switches for now
  • we are arranging 10G fiber ports which may take some time
  • we want no changes later on in terms of configuration as we see no downtime
  • I understand we can add 2 x 10G and 2 x 1G ports in single Team (link speed will be 1G)
  • So once we have 10G fiber ports available we will simply disconnect 1G ports
Please advise if above workable solution without any downtime or re-configuration requirement?

yep, that should work.

For the sake of full coverage, I'd recommend when you go to make the 10G changes, open up a support ticket, and we can double check your configuration for you.
