I wanted to see what other people in the Nutanix community are doing in regards to plans to recover from Ransomware for VMs that run on Nutanix and Files on Nutanix Files file servers? I have heard that the snapshots in Nutanix are immutable is that a true statement?

Here is a good blog about this topic: The Ransomware Threat and with a bit of searching through web you will find out that no matter how good your protection is at the end is usually human error that brings ransomware to your organization/cluster. I see that Nutanix has a lot of protection and the best way to deal with ransomware is to buy a backup solution which enables you to restore all your data in case of such thing. Backup solution is safe because its separated from Nutanix. Uses different storage.
