Prism Central: converted vm to template, can I delete the VM?

Hi,

New Nutanix user here so please forgive me my ignorance.

I created a new VM in Prism Element and then (using this guide) used the Convert to Template function in Prism Central. So far so good. However, the converted VM still shows up under VMs in Element/Central. Can I now delete this VM? (We’re running just one cluster.)

info:

AHV version Nutanix 20201105.2267

Prism central: pc.2022.4

Kind regards,

Thomas

Turns out, yep… it can just be deleted. My only gripe with this Template process is that, if you deploy a template, you cannot select a storage container the disk(s) of the newly created VM(s) will be stored in.
