I am trying to locate the memory slots “P2-DIMMD1” and “P2-DIMMD2”  in G4 but did not see any slot marked as P2-DIMMD1 or P2-DIMMD2. would you please let me know how to find these slots and replace memory. Thanks, Tairshah

Hello @Tarishah
Most G4 nodes are covered in this “Memory Replacement” doc for multi-node platforms. If you look under “Supported memory Configurations” section you should see labeled diagrams of DIMM slot locations.

If your node is a different model, you can find the right memory replacement doc as described above.

Hey @Tarishah

Hope you are well. Can you share the model number of the node too?

Hello @Tarishah

We have a Hardware Replacement Guide which mentions the step by step guide to replacing any hardware in the NX environment. The guide also mentions the position of DIMM, best practises to follow and a video for your guidance.

Just go to the Hardware Replacement Guide on Portal, select the hardware you want to replace and the model.

Here’s the link for your reference.

I tried to look in formation by clicking above mentioned link, but there is no information’s at all. Even I tried to pick  different types of hardware ( as picture below I picked G6). it just says  no data found.

Hi @ap185088

It shows no data found if you are not logged into the Nutanix portal. Once you log in and then click on the link, it will show you the documents.

Alternatively, you can log in to the portal, then go to Documentation → Hardware Replacement Documentation → Memory and then you will see all the list.

Shaurya
