Can Nutanix AHV Replicate to Converged DR Site | Nutanix Community

Hello guys, currently we have converged infrastructure with Cisco UCS, netapp storage and virtualization with VMware , now we want to make this our DR and want to build primary DC with Nutanix HCI, so my question is can Nutanix AHV can replicate to converged DR site? Thanks....

The replication can be done only to another Nutanix cluster or to the cloud. You can check if your UCS nodes can be used as Nutanix nodes and if they are compatible, you can build a Nutanix cluster out of them and use it as the replication target.

Thanks a lot , can u tell me how to check the nodes are compatible with Nutanix? And it means that  I can’t use the netapp storage, right?

You can find the list of compatible Cisco UCS hardware here: https://www.nutanix.com/ucs

Using 3rd party storage with Nutanix, for example, NetApp, is unsupported.

Sorry aging, but what if we use  VMware hypervisor on Nutanix platform, still we can’t replicate to that DR?

The target for the replication must be a Nutanix cluster. You can use the NetApp to store backups on it.

Ok, but the UCS blade servers have minimum local  storage size. We planned the primary site will have above 100 TB size.
