Hello every one Can you supporting me in my Case we have now 3 nodes NX and we need add new node NX-8135N.When I foundation vm the installation failed and I get this log error

You do also have a screenshot of the console? (console screen node)

Looks like phoenix can't talk back to you foundation vm.

Got it. So phoenix can't talk back to the foundation vm.

Tests:

  • Disabling windows firewall;
  • Can phoenix ping foundation vm?

Etc.

Yes the firewall is disabled

but how to ping to phoenix you mean (node)

From console on node try to ping ip address of your foundation machine.

But how are you running the foundation machine network wise? Are you bridging or natting the netwerk of the virtual machine?

No,I can not reachable and ping to foundation machin and setting network is bridging

Is there a firewall in between?

Is there an lacp mismatch on switch ports and interfaces?

No, I connected in the same unmanaged switch port 1G

So the node is connected with ipmi AND interfaces to the same switch as you foundation machine is connected to?

Yes,directly

And within foundation you configured NOT to use LACP?

No,not configure LACP,

Oke last thing you can try. I see you are running windows on the machine connected to the switch. What you can try is to run the foundation for Windows executable (dont forget to disable windows firewall). This can be downloaded here: https://portal.nutanix.com/page/downloads?product=foundation

Then foundation is running on windows, bypassing the virtual box virtualisation. Make sure your windows has a static ipaddress in the same subnet as your node is using.

If that is not working either there is something wrong in the network or cables, etc.

I had something like this happen once… It turned out to be the vlan mapping in the AHV configuration. I had to manually update the bond on the system because foundation wasn’t wiping everything from scratch every time I tried to re-run the configuration. Once I updated the NIC parameters on the physical host foundation ran successfully. I think I also had trouble getting it to work on Foundation for Windows so ended up installing the appliance linux version too just FYI.
