Can any one list out how many types of Foundation are there eg Foundation Pro, bare metal ..etc.

I see now. Reading guides and Best Practices documents has proven its efficiency when prepping for a Nutanix exam so my recommendation would be to read the Foundation Guide.

I think, this section describes what you’re looking for Foundation Use Case Matrix.

Thank you for the response

Yes, iam looking in the similar lines

Iam aware of Foundation portable, Foundation Central, Foundation Java applet any more version version available.

and in what scenario they are used as you mentioned.

Hope the query is clear, Iam attempting for NCSC certification & preparing for the same.

Hi yshabir,

Foundation is an imaging and a cluster building tool that is used to install AOS and a hypervisor on the nodes as well as to form a cluster and apply basic initial configuration.

Depending on the configuration of the nodes at hand the process differs. Brand new nodes may arrive factory imaged or with Discovery OS only. You may choose to re-use nodes that you already have and hence re-image them and join them to a different cluster.

There is Foundation and Foundation Central (available from Prism Central only) if that is what you mean.

Maybe if you can elaborate more on what you are looking for I will be able to help you better?
