Hi !

I want to make an image of a windows server on the ABS disk. How can I copy the file to images on CVM to start migrate the Fysical server to Virtual. WinSCP is so slow so it will take 6-7 hours. To write it to ABS iSCSI it is fast but only problem to copy it to AOS. File system is NTFS.

thanks!

Hi @KWI -

do you want to convert a physical windows server to virtual then upload it’s converted vhd to image service on AOS ? Depending on the Windows version and the application running on it, you can use disk2vhd and convert it to a VHD and see if that helps.

ABS is Nutanix Volumes, which offers you to have in-guest iscsi disks.

For WinSCP :

Go to "Advanced Settings" of a Session:

disable / uncheck :  "Optimize connection buffer size".
save the session settings and re-connect

Hope this helps - please let us know if you require further clarification on this
