I want to create a configuration in Sizer that takes a snapshot once a day.However, an error message is displayed on Sizer and configuration is not possible."Cluster: 'Cluster-1' nodes with SSD capacity less than 7.68TB are not allowed when configuring Hybrid nodes with RPO of 6 hour and node capacity ranging from >96TB upto 136TB. For more info, refer to Nutanix Maximum Configurations & Snapshot Frequency Field Requirements"Sizer's workload only has Daily Snapshots set."Hourly Snapshot Retained" is unchecked.However, for some reason, the condition check for 6 hours RPO is caught, and the hardware cannot be configured.What should I do to remove this error?
Hello everybody, We have a customer who informs us about a problem on his AOS/AHV platform:We have encountered in our testing phase several Nvidia problems on the Linux stations:- Name of the VDI does not show up in the license server; Unrecognized driver causing the GPU not to be used. Nvidia advised to upgrade to version 13.7.But the version supported by nutanix for the client version is 13.3, the one already in place (https://portal.nutanix.com/page/downloads?product=ahv) The current versions of the client : AOS: 6.5.1.6AHV: 20220304.24Nvidia grid : 470.129.04nvidia software : 13.3 Can we upgrade from nvidia to version 13.7?Is it supported by nutanix? We have 2 Nutanix prism tenants and would like to share the VM resources to keep the logs such as the SNMP logs and Syslog together, Our local services suggest having 2 public IPs to connect it with the VPN tunnel. Is it possible to configure the virtual network for this solution without the Public IP?I’m not sure it is the best practice to connect 2 local tenants with the VPN tunnel so the packet will route through the public network.

I’m going to deploy 8 nutanix nodes with ESXi. The total storage capacity is 120TB. VMware ESXi have a maximum datastore capacity of 64TB. Can I provision nutanix storage container as datastore with capacity more than 64TB?
I have installed cluster with 2 blocks (3 nodes each) and assigning IPs to them, I used a switch without vlans, when I created vlans and connect my switch to firewall, I was unable to open the prism in the browser (chrome, firefox), but I can reach the cvm and I can SSH it through putty.

I’m trying to use Nutanix collector 4.0 to collect Hyper-V sizing information, however the following error message is displayed during the scanning phase:“Bad http response returned from the server. Code: 500. Content”I tried to use it with Remote option and locally on a cluster member and the same happens.Running the precheck script it shows these failures on the picture: The user logged in is a Domain Admin and local admin, however the script returns a failure about the user rights. Does anyone know how can I enable the “Basic auth” stated on the script output?I also tried Collector version 3.5.1 with no success.Any tips?
I have a 3 node cluster with ESXI 6.7 and AOS 5.15.2. I’m unable to run any LCM tasks as the inventory fails to get the ESXI scratch space on the hosts. After troubleshooting SSH issues, I discovered I’m not able to even ping the other hosts in the cluster, via IP or hostname. I can ping the other CVMs with no issues, just not the hosts. However I’m able to ping each CVM and other hosts with no issue from the host itself, so the issue only exists when the CVM is the source and the other ESXI hosts in the cluster are the destination.I’ve restarted the hosts and CVMs and ensures the hosts are patched and updated. The hosts are all on the same subnet and no firewall exists between them. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi there,We are currently deploying (and testing) Karbon as K8 orchestration platform for all our Nutanix platforms (worldwide). I have failed installation attempts from Prism Central.As a side note, we are using VPN Site2Site from centralised Prism Control and I can reach remote K8 VLAN from distant Nutanix deployment. Hi there guys!We’ve recently upgraded our cluster from 5.15.3 to 5.15.6 because of a bug with Acropolis Sevice. After the upgrade, we are running into a weird issue with our Citrix Environment.Right now we are using CVAD 7.15 CU2 and AOS 5.15.6 with Windows 7 MCS pool of 1000 VMs with UPMWhen a user disconnects from a session (hitting disconnect or the red X sqare button) director shows the session Active instead of Disconnected and the curious thing is that it reports to be a Console sessionAfter playing around upgrading a test platform to 1912 CU3 and VirtIO drivers to the latest version, we’ve found the same issue. Also repeated the tests with Nutanix CE version 20190916 with the same results.At this point we ran out of ideas an decided to create an ESX cluster in lab, and guess what? it works fine. Disconnected sessions are showing up as they should.We suspect that can be related to AHV because of the test. Also we have a case opened with Nutanix and afterwards we will open a Citri

Hi,We’re currently moving from Nutanix Hyper-V cluster to a Nutanix AHV cluster. We’re running Windows 10 VDIs on these clusters, currently we use BGInfo to display various settings for our users (VDI name, IP Address, Host Name). On Hyper-v it creates a registry key on the VDI with the Host that the VDI is running on. Does anyone know how i fins this information when running on a AHV cluster..?Thanks
Long story short, W2016 server moving from HV to AHV. VirtIO drivers are installed (before migration) but whenever the machine boots after migrating to AHV, it's bsods with inaccessible boot device. If I go through the whole booting to recovery, deleting the driver and injecting the driver, it boots up but that's a lot of manual handling.When MOVE migrates to AHV it boots up as SATA drive then it seems to clone the disk and reattaches it as a SCSI drive. It boots to the desktop as SATA but then as a SCSI drive it fails, so the driver issue makes sense. The issue is why the drivers are not working when they're installed on the HV machine before migration and don't work after.
I can ping to AHV from my pc. I can ping to CVM from AHV via address 172.x.x.x and internal address 192.x.x.x But I Can Ping To CVM From My PC.
We have 3 nodes with 2x960GB SSD and 4x4TB HDD.We need to expand storage (and storage only as it is going to be used to store cold data - we do not need additional processing power or RAM)Question 1: We simply added two 12TB HDDs to each node. Now each node has 2x960GB SSD, 4x4TB HDDs, 2x12TB HDDs. Everything is working fine, but we were told that this is not recommended. What is the problem with this configurationQuestion 2: Assuming the configuration in Q1 is not recommended and we want to end up with each node having one type of HDDs. We were told that we can upgrade the existing 4TB HDDs with 12TB drives. What the right procedure would be: a) Mark one 4TB drive for removal, remove it, insert 12TB drive in place of removed 4TB drive. Repeat 4 times for a node. Resulting configuration - 6x12TB HDDs per node b) Add two more 12TB drives first, then mark for removal and remove four 4TB drives (one by one). Resulting configuration - 4x12TB HDDs per node (preferred configuration by us)T
Hello!Is here anyone who knows whether it’s possible to create a role which has only permission to access security entities? For example, is it possible to create a user which can only create/modify/delete rules for Flow?I didn’t find anything regarding this in standard permissions list when trying to create a new role. Maybe there is such possibility via API?Please advice.Thanks!
