Hello All, I tried to install AOS 5.11.2 with foundation 4.5.1 but I faced from some issues. The system consists of 01 Bloc NX-3060-G4 with 04 nodes. The existing AOS version is 5.11.1 and the existing AHV version is 20170830.270. I was trying to figure out if there is an option by which a web hook can be called when a Citrix client connects or disconnects a VDI. For example when a user connects the VDI from his thin client, the infrastructure should notify the hook using an HTTP call with information including the thin client's computer name, the user connected etc. Could someone tell me if this is possible?
I recently upgraded my CVMs from 16GB to 32GB. Normally I do this from the CLI but yesterday was curious to see if the command Configure CVM in Prism could handle it. The process ran forever and eventually the progress reached 83%. I came back from lunch (forgetting that I had started that process) and started on resolution of some other NCC check failures. At some point I stopped and started the cluster and it was at that moment that I thought about the CVM memory upgrade task. Prism showed it still at %83 in both Task List and Configure CVM progress bar but the VM view showed all three CVMs at 32GB. So my theory is that I jacked up the running Task List somehow??? Is there a way to "reset" the Task List to get rid of that hung task?
We currently have a 48 node hybrid cluster running our Horizon VDI environment with non persistent desktops. The biggest issue is Oulook and OST files. I'm not allowed to turn off cached mode, so I'm redirecting users OST files to network shares. We currently have about 2,600 users and I have those OST files spread across 7 servers. We brought in a consultant with more Nutanix experience than I have and it was suggested that we convert some nodes to all flash, and we would use Affinity Rules to pin these OST file servers to the AF nodes. Makes perfect sense to me based on Nutanix using localization for data. So we have purchased the correct drives to convert 8 nodes to all flash. Storage capacity is going to be almost a wash, I think we are going to drop about 10 TB out of our 200TB logical. I'm in the process of removing the first 4 nodes from the cluster so we can convert them and I got an error from Prism that's very concerning. I know this is a false positive today, but it's e

Hi Guys, I have a nutanix block with four nodes. I mean four node cluster. Supermicro NX30-60 I have a query about fault tolerance. Currently it is set as RF-2 Each node has 6 disks. 4 hdd and 2 SSD 4*800 gb hdd 2* 200 gb sad OS is AHV. 1) Assume, if one host completely fails, then the vm will be restarted on other host and it will continue to run without any issues. 2) If one disk fails(either HDD or SSD or both at the same time)from first AHV, then there will be no impact. 3) If two disk fails from two hosts(1st AHV and 2nd AHV) at the same time(assume one HDD fails on both the nodes), then what will be the impact for all the running vms in the cluster? 4) If two disk fails from two hosts(1st AHV and 2nd AHV) in different time I. E 30 mins gap(assume one HDD failed in 6AM in first node and another HDD failed at 6.30 AM in second node), then what will be the impact for all the running vms in the cluster? Hello Community, I'm involved in a PreSales action. The customer asks for information regarding deletion of user data from Audit Logs. Is it possible to delete user information from audit logs? I just want to inquire and ask if anybody has an idea if Nutanix has a plan to automate the processes of doing a shutdown of the cluster, entering a Node to Maintenance Mode and exporting VM that resides to a nutanix cluster and integrate this basic operation to their Prism Element or Prism Central GUI just as what the other HCI vendors? currently I belive these things is done via CLI only. I know this is a easy task for a technical people and admin but I think it defies the "one click simplicity / one click operation" that is shown on presentation decks. It would be great and probably an additional edge if processes like this is automated. thanks :)

There is a .snapshot folder in the root of each of our Nutanix Files shares. We think it is created by Files Analytics. Can anybody confirm that and explain how it works? We think some data may have been accidentally deleted from the folder so we want to make sure nothing has been damaged...

I'm running Prism Central 5.7.1.1 and have recently upgraded 6 of our clusters to 5.5.7.1. Of those 6 clusters, 3 of them are still showing an Upgrade Status of 'Upgrading' in Prism Central. It's been a over a month for one cluster and I've restarted Prism Central appliance to no avail - has anyone else seen this?
I've seen servers that have active and inactive in replication . when I check the replication settings. there are inactive and active vm's in job. so i didnt understand that what is mean inactive vm's. can i delete it . if there is no replication in the other region, they take up storage space and if I delete them I can save space from storage space Also i have another question is on vcenter 6.5. i see free size is 4 tb but on nutanix mangement screen free size is 11 tb. why do i see it so different. If the virtual machine is deleted, there is a space recovered on the storage side.
