I would like to download the cluster info file so I can apply licenses to my prism element over CLI. I can do this interactively by opening an SSH command and it asks if I am sure [y/N]. When automating this, how do I go about entering “y”? I usually get around this by using -echo 'y' | ncli license download-cluster-info file-path='/home/nutanix/cluster_name.csf' But its not liking it -nutanix@NTNX-20FM5A210030-A-CVM:10.248.8.62:~$ echo 'y' | ncli license download-cluster-info file-path='/home/nutanix/L02VM1.csf'This operation will start the licensing process. Hello , I have a kubernetes Cluster on Nutanix with 1 Master Node and 2 Worker Nodes(Test ENV). All the Nodes have Kubernetes version of 1.20.x. I want to Update the all the Nodes kubernetes version to 1.21.x. without the Downtime of application/services running on it. I have Seen in Nutanix guide which is easy step to upgrade kubernetes version but it says application may have downtime. Any Ideas and Inputs to upgrade Kubernetes version from 1.20.x to 1.21.x withoutdown of apps.
Hello Team, I’m running a small 3 node cluster, during an AHV upgrade to the latest version one of the servers failed to reboot so AOS started to rebuild trying to restore HA. After several hours rebuilding failed, looking at the logs I saw the message: “not enough space available”. If I’m not mistaken a 3 node cluster can tolerate only one node down, but lets say the two running nodes had enough space, is it possible to restore HA? It basically means that after some time rebuilding, if one of the 2 remaining nodes fails, cluster is still up in a single node mode.Just curious because it looked like AOS tried to rebuild HA despide only 2 nodes were up

Hello,i have three nodes configured with nutanix AHV and in the storage container i am seeing 3 containers but one of the containers is not working i can’t even update the setting for it please it has over 21 tb space and i couldn’t use it so what do i have to do to make it available.
Long story short, W2016 server moving from HV to AHV. VirtIO drivers are installed but whenever the machine boots after migrating to AHV, it's bsods with inaccessible boot device. If I go through the whole booting to recovery, deleting the driver and injecting the driver, it boots up but thats a lot of manual handling.When MOVE migrates to AHV it boots up as SATA drive then it seems to clone the disk and reattaches it as a SCSI drive. It boots to the desktop as SATA but then as a SCSI drive it fails, so the driver issue makes sense. The issue is why the drivers are not working when they're installed on the HV machine before migration and don't work after.
Hi guys, a non technical question about a customization option that I can’t find anywhere. I have two Prism Central used for Synchronous replication. To Identify them at first sight I have customized title and colors of the login page. It was a bit disappointing to not find the customized name on the browser tab or at least on the menu bar title. Even after editing the cluster params to give a name to the PC cluster (only one VM as for now) the name stick on “Prism Central” on the tab and “Prism” on the menu bar.Considering I’m working on a Synchronous replication and that all the objects involved have the same name (Protection Policies, Recovery plans, categories), sometimes i found myself working on the wrong Prism Central. It would be easier to have the PC name always visibile. Any idea? Thanks in advanceil_gianK’ Tab and menu bar title

Prism -> Data Protection -> EventGroups of Async DR run backups only once every Dawn.However, if check the event, I will see several messages per group.If there is a ‘Search’ group, several messages are generated for the 'Search' snapshot in the event.Each has a different time.(AM and PM). Hello all, i have a 3 node nutanix cluster and i was trying to deploy ACI for lab usage on nutanix AHV as a vm but while i launch the vm it wouldn’t accept my keyboard. please any idea how to solve.
I have 5 nodes equipped with 2*3.2TB NVMe SSD and 6* 1.92TB SATA SSD. of every one. all nodes are connected with 25Gb network. all nodes upgarde from AOS 5.15 to 5.20From the nutanix bible, in the scenarion with NVMe SSD + STATA SSD, the oplog will only reside in the NVMe SSD, and not in SATA SSD.So that is mean all the random write will first write in NVMe SSD and then drain to all the NVMe SSD+ SATA SSD?all the sequential write will pass OPlog and only writhe to extent store parally in all NVMe SSD + SATA SSD? How about the read I/O path? In some test, I found that when I do some I/O operation in VM, All the device (NVMe and SATA) have I/O counters and the IOPS are roughly the same in the prism-hardware--disk page. Seems the fast speed of NVMe SSD cannot be utilized.Does you have any suggestions to prove the fast performance improve by used NVMe in the nodes.I also checked that the disk status, as the folloing: It is used SPDK.================== 172.88.61.131 =================Slot D

Dear Team,I had setup Dark Site web server (IIS) and uploaded unpacked LCM Dark Site Bundle and the firmware bundle (HPE). After performing LCM inventory LCM has been updated to the required version and “firmware” section is showing available new FW pack (SPP). Is any option to upload to the Dark Site server ESXi update file with metadata file or only one way to update it is to upload hypervisor metadata and binary file directly to to the Prism Elements?Software section is empty: Same question about AOS and File Server… Regards,Dominik

A customer would like to run Microsoft Windows Server DataCenter 2022 in an AHV environment and we are looking at licensing for this. We want DataCenter cause of unlimited VM’s. We have recently heard that this has changed in the past year and only retail or perpetual licensing can run on Hyper-V and you can not run on AHV or Vmware anymore. This is because it needs the host to communicate with some licensing portal. So we have to purchase Open Value with SA for running AHV which is considerably more money and have to pay on a yearly subscription. They gave us this description. こんにちは。 CEの2020 09版について相談させていただきたく。 インストールは完了するのですが、CVMが起動しません。起動後virshで確認するとしばらくpausedの状態になり、shut offになります。 構成はSATA DOM → hyper visor用NVMe M2 SSD → CVM用SAS ｘ4(RAID Card(EP400i)でRAID0 x4を構成) → Data用としてインストールしています。 ドライブの種類があまり多いのは推奨されない、とどこかで見た覚えがあるのでそういうものかと、思ったりもするのですがSASが大分余っているので有効活用したくもあり、解決方法があれば教えて頂きたく。 なお、前のバージョンではSATA DOM → ddでimgを書き込んで起動、インストール実行SATA SSDSAS ｘ4(RAID Card(EP400i)でRAID0 x4を構成)の構成で動作していました。 また、2020 09でもSATA DOM → hyper visor用NVMe M2 SSD → CVM用SATA Disk (or SATA SSD) → Data用とした場合も問題はありませんでした。
Hello,May I please ask for some help with understanding vStore mapping in Data Protection?Setup: two identical HCI clusters, both run production workloads. A Protection Domain with Async DR is being configured to replicate a subset of VMs from one cluster to another for DR purposes, as well as for migration scenarios. Hypervisor: ESXi.Question: Can vStore mapping be done to a container with live running VMs?In more general view, I consider a scenario where each of the two clusters not only runs its portion of production workloads, but also is the replication target for the other cluster. Should the replication be mandatorily mapped to a separate/dedicated container, or can it go to the same container as the local VMs run from? I.e. how about having a single container for all UVM-s in each cluster, and vStore mapping in each cluster for these two containers?Thank you.

I see that ERA 2.0 has a prerequisite of SQL Server SQLPS PowerShell module. Does anyone know what specific version is required? I ask because when trying to register a single node, I receive the following error:Operation Failed : Unable to import SQLPS module. Please make sure that SQLPS module is available to proceed with Dbserver VM registration.I suspect that the version of SQLPS PowerShell module that we have installed on our SQL servers is too new.
