Hello Team,Is it possible to transform a full-flash cluster to an hybrid one without losing data? (third party platform).Licenses should not be upgraded because SSD space would not change but the necessary SAS disks would be added to add extra cold data space
Hello Team, I read that starting from Nutanix Files 3.7 is possible to adjust block size of the share. How can this can be done? Not sure is actually possible in Prism (running aos 5.18.1) What block size would you recommended for small files (under 10 Mb the average size) like Excel, pdf, Word and so on? Thank you!
Hello Team, I’m running a small 3 node cluster, during an AHV upgrade to the latest version one of the servers failed to reboot so AOS started to rebuild trying to restore HA. After several hours rebuilding failed, looking at the logs I saw the message: “not enough space available”. If I’m not mistaken a 3 node cluster can tolerate only one node down, but lets say the two running nodes had enough space, is it possible to restore HA? It basically means that after some time rebuilding, if one of the 2 remaining nodes fails, cluster is still up in a single node mode.Just curious because it looked like AOS tried to rebuild HA despide only 2 nodes were up
Hello team, I hope that someone can explain to me why, looking to sizer’s recommandations about hybrid configuations, SSD/HDD ratio is not size dependent but form factor dependent. Basically if you select 2 SSD and 3.5”HDD then a minimum 1:1 ratio is possible (SSDx2 + HDDx2) but if you have have SSDx2 and 2.5” HDD then the minimum ratio is 1:2 (SSDx2 + HDDx4). Is it because 3.5” HDD SAS or SATA are usually faster than 2.5”? It’s not about size or hardware vendor, recommandations seems to changes according to the disks form factor only
Hello team, We used Nutanix sizer to configure a 3 node cluster, if hybrid mode is selected the smaller suggested option for cold data is a 4 X 2Tb SAS disks set when we choose 2 x 960Gb SSD for hot data. Is it possible to get support and buy a license if we configure the node with 2 x 2Tb disks? It's a small environment and we don't need all that extra space. Every hardware component is in the supported compatibility matrix of the vendor, just not sure Nutanix can fully support a custom configuration
