Hi All , As you know that to build a SQL cluster on vmware vsphere 5.5 I need to create RDM disk for both cluster's nodes with physical compitilty , and this will eliminate the vsphere from running vmotion (need to shutdown the host to migrate )since it is not supported. My question is : does nutanix support create a SQL cluster ? and how they will replace the RDM (the physical LUN)? And for licensing :Does nutanix base license support building critical application clusters for free? Regards,
Hi All , I would like to know the way how can I move vm's from 1 nutanix block into other Nutanix block using vmotion . - Each Nutanix block configured as a stand alone Nutanix Cluster -2 Nutanix Block under same vmware DC and Cluster and managed by 1 vcenter. but when I run vmtion for one virtual machine from vsphere client I could not choose the target nutanix storage. Hi I have aplan to reconfigure the ip addressess of all Nutanix components (hypervsors ip's ,CMV's and cluster ip. My question is what is the priority of changing ip's ( start point) and what is the worst scenario through this process? Regards

Dear All ,I would like to know if the Nutanix appliance coming with preinstalled ESXI 5.5 nodes or not. If not ,so do nutanix has its own customized image(iso) of vsphere esxi to be used? Can I boot the installation file directly from CD or usb to install esxi on nodes? Regards, Rami
Hi , Does Nutanix has it's own backup software to take scheduled backup for production VM's created on ESXI hosts ? or I need to use third party backup solution like Veem or netbackup? if available , does it require base license or enterprise license please note the from prism in licensing part I saw the field Dataprotection and deduplication and others with status off,is this mean that these functions are not supported with the current license or just need to turn on? Dear All , For importing Vm's from the existing vmware envirronment to Nutanix cluster I extracted the below note from Nutanix admin doc. Note: Due to a limitation with VMware vSphere, a temporary name and ip address of a controller VM must be used to mount the Target NFS datastore on both the source host and the target host for this procedure. 1.Could you please help in this what this temporary name and ip mean? the CVM ip addrress of the nutanix host is already configured ,shall i need to modify it ? or keep it as it is? 2. For target host (Nutanix Host) it is clear that it contains CVM but for the current (Not Nutanix Host) there are no CVM. 3.This should be done through adding storage on both hosts .Right? Mount the target NFS datastore on the source host and on the target host (you can mount NFS datastores in vSphere client by clicking Add Storage on the Configuration>Storage screen for a host) so instead of using the CVM ip of the target host (Nutanix Host) in Server colou
