Can Credential Guard be enabled via GPO for 2016 servers running in AHV? Or is this something that only applies to servers running on a HyperV host?
I am looking for a patching product that will tie into Nutanix and be able to take a snapshot before patching, we are looking to automate this process to get away from manually taking snapshots prior to deploying patches. We do have Protection Domains setup but with the timing intervals it is not ideal only use those pre-deploy as they can be hours behind the actual patching deployments. If anyone is using a product that has this capability please let me know or if you may have a better way to accomplish this within Nutanix.
Is there an ACLI or NCLI command to keep a VM from using flash tier completely?
I am looking for a something that i can setup in an automated task on a server to poll for any active replications for Protection Domains and if true to pull information and email it. The output i am looking for in the email would be something like below. Protection Domain : ProtectionDomainName Replication Operation : Sending Start Time : 03/11/2019 12:00:02 EDT Remote Site : RemoteSiteName Snapshot Id : 2918635 Bytes Completed : 444.08 MiB (465,653,447 bytes) Snapshot Size : 2.57 GiB (2,760,598,528 bytes) Complete Percent : 95.38689 If anyone already has something like this setup that would be awesome, my scripting skills are slim to none so any help would be awesome.
We are looking to setup a Nutanix File Server on our ESX cluster, this file server will be housing 21TB of data. I know that we get 1TB for free, how to enable the licensing for the other 20TB as i believe it is per TB.
We have a dozen or so VMs/appliances that do not support AHV and thus cannot be migrated over to our new AHV cluster that runs 95% of our servers. We would like to expose a container/Volume Group from Nutanix to the VMware hosts as NFS datastores to build these VMs/Appliances on. Our goal is to then replicate that Container/Volume Group to our DR Nutanix cluster and then connect our DR VMware cluster for the same VMs/Appliances to then use as well incase of failover. We have gotten conflicting information from all parties and wanted to know if anyone was already doing this and what your results are? These VMs/Appliances would have fairly high IO.
I have deleted several shares on the Nutanix File Server we have running in VMware and the free space does not seem to be recovering even after a week. Is there a command i can run in ACLI or NCLI to force the clean up to take place? Or is there a better way to remove the shares other the through the Prism UI?
