Hi guys,I want to run some tests on a local system, so I created two VMs that are isolated from my production network. So, I created a network in the cluster just to be used by these two VMs. This network does not exist in production, only within the cluster.I added the NIC for this network on both VMs. But even so VMs do not communicate, I cannot ping or access via SSH from one VM to another. This type of configuration, just for testing, is not possible with AHV \ AOS?
Is it possible to add more than one NIC as network client in a single deployment of Nutanix Files?I am performing tests in which Nutanix Files would serve 03 different networks and during Files' deployment it is only possible to add 01 network client. However, this test will serve 02 other networks besides the one already configured.
Hi, I have performed tests of the plugin for integration between Volume Groups in a Nutanix cluster with Dockers containers (https://next.nutanix.com/karbon-kubernetes-orchestration-30/nutanix-dvp-docker-volume-plug-in-25371) and (https://next.nutanix.com/karbon-kubernetes-orchestration-30/docker-nutanix-container-volume-plug-in-18726). While reading the Docker Volume Plugin documentation at (https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/solutions/details?targetId=BP-2037-Docker-Containers-on-AHV:BP-2037-Docker-Containers-on-AHV), I did not notice if such a plugin works with Docker containers in swarm mode (Docker swarm cluster). I performed some tests with Ubuntu 20.04, forming a Docker swarm cluster with 03 nodes, all VMs with Nutanix Guest Tools installed. All the tests using .yml files for the creation of stacks and services, as for the volumes the tests were made both with the command to create the volumes, as well as in the .yml files. I noticed that the volumes are created normally
Hello friends,From what I have read in the Karbon documentation, as well as from YouTube videos, through karbon in AHV I cannot manage aspects of the containers, the applications themselves, load balancing, reverse proxy, container images, etc. Is that right?Associated with this, if Karbon does not in fact have such features, is it possible to use Karbon in conjunction with tools that have the above features, like Rancher? Has anyone had this experience?
Is there the possibility of using the microVM concept in Nutanix? Are solutions like firecracker (https://firecracker-microvm.github.io/) possible with Nutanix? As I understand it is not possible to nested virtualization with Nutanix (https://next.nutanix.com/server-virtualization-27/nested-virtualization-33423), so is there any provision for a feature that enables the use of microVMs with Nutanix?
