DPM of Microsoft can integrated with Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor?
Hello everyone What is important to be aware of migrating Windows VM from ESXi to AHV?Is the version of AOS important? Anything else? Please help me.
Our CVMs are configured with 32GB of dynamic memory. Start, minimum and max are all set to 32GB. I'm curious to know why Dynamic Memory is enabled on these VMs? Since the CVM's OS isn't fully Hyper-V integrated, we don't see memory demand from the hypervisor (this is the only benefit I see from leaving dynamic memory enabled on a VM with all values set the same). As an explicit downside, since we're using Dynamic Memory on these VMs, we lose the vNUMA featureset (not that a 32GB VM is likely to benefit from it). Thanks!
Hello, Could anyone offer ideas around how to manage the log truncation for applications like Exchange/SQL when moving to CloudConnect from a product that used to perform that automatically? This seems like a pretty important aspect which I can't seem to find any information on. Many thanks, Daniel
Dears We are configuring an iSCSI target , and we have security between ipnetworks, where CVM and the host vm are in seperate network. please advise ,which all are the ports needs to be opned.
I've implemented the metro availability between two sites. I've to shut down nx block for moving it in another site. Have I stop the metro availability? Have you got a procedure? Thanks
Hi All-I am in the process of creating some MSCS SQL Clusters on Server 2012R2 . In the applicable documentation in regards to using iSCSI-based VGs with Nutanix. Also read Mike Websters information about hot expaning the disks associated with those VGs in an upcoming software release, really nice! My question is about how I break the I/O over the multiple VMWare P/V SCSI controllers currently. If I followed the instructions in https://portal.nutanix.com/#/page/solutions/details?targetId=BP-2049_Acropolis_Block_Services:BP-2049_Acropolis_Block_Services Wouldn't all the I/O go over the default and only SCSI controller for that VM? I am trying to distribute the I/O for logs, tempDB, etc over multiple SCSI controllers. It was worked well in our environment in which we leverage RDMs and would like to try to repeat this on the Nutanix side. Can
Hi, Does anyone have a step-by-step guide on creating a Windows cluster on ESX on Nutanix? I've seen various examples online of using ISCI, SMB etc file shares but I'm not entirely sure on what to do. I've got the cluster as far as the file share witness working but how do I then configure the disks that make up the cluster resources? I will eventually be clustering SQL 2012 on this. Cheers, Steve
Hi Team , may i know can i install use hyper-v with GUI as hypervisor on Nutanix? Is there any technical limitation? Will it still under support with Nutanix if i install GUI on my hyper-v hypervisor? Kindly advice
