There is no memory oversubscription in AHV in the current versions. So how much CPU and memory are set, how much will the host consume? Not the actual usage of VM?
@Sergei Ivanov Thank you for your reply I have a node with 187.49GB of memory on it, there are three VMs , which use memory resources individually: VM_A: assign 16GB, use 17%, VM_B: assign 96GB, use 42.64% CVM: assign 32GB , use 79.83% That node show it consumed 78.08% of memory, according to the above usage, if you look at the actual usage, it would not consume more than half of the node, the consumption data displayed by this node is similar to the memory setting value of the virtual machine?
Hi Sudhir9 Will M.2 Raid be built in Foundaton deployment? We don't need to manually build Raid first? M.2 Raid will only be built in G7, not G6?Thank you
Hello Wei, The block awareness feature doesn’t effect available space calculation at all. You should refer to KB article 1557 for guidance on calculating the useable storage space on your cluster. When you remove the two 8235G7, your cluster will only have two blocks remaining and so it won’t be able to maintain block level fault tolerance. At that point the cluster just go into a standard node based fault tolerance. Hi Sedward,If I have 5 blocks with 8 nodes installed in the same rack, will you recommend to keep using RF = 2 or 3, or will you use fault tolerance domain to block instead?Thank you
Hi @AnishWalia20, happy new year 2021 to you ,too.Sorry, I didn't explain it correctly enough. I mean, can veeam backup AHV virtual machine through Prism Central?Because I'm in lab environment, my nutanix is CE version,I could back up the virtual machine through veeam for AHV before. Later, after I joined prism central, I added the PC IP to veeam again, the account and password of the PC will not be authenticated. then I used CVM IP instead, and the account and password will not be authenticated too. So I asked this question. If there is a PC in the AHV, can veeam not add the PC to backup VM ?Thank you
Hi @AnishWalia20 So I can understand that if there is a PC at present, there is no way to use veeam for backup?Thank you
Hi @AnishWalia20 Suppose I need to use PC feature, such as report or flow, and also need to use veeam to back up some database.
@AnishWalia20 thank you for your answer.
