We discovered this same error and were told that when we go to VMware 5.5u1 the issue is resolved (we like most Nutanix customers are not on 5.5u1 yet because of the NFS bug). In the mean time, whilst waiting for the upgrade we disabled the alert from the NoS web admin. Its alert A1057. Please let me know if you ever fixed this issue.
Thanks for your posts at your website. I read through them with interest as we use VDI with Nutanix. Have I read rightly that as we use linked clones with snapshots that VAAI will not be used in our environment? I'm just checking based on this; View Full Clone (Template with Snapshot) –> VAAI will NOT be used
Sure you know already but in case anyone see's this thread and isn't aware, a patch to 5.5U1 was released by VMware this week. Nutanix are internally testing it I believe. We await the results eagerly :)
At last! Fingers crossed it works :)
Hi there rsciaraffo :) We use Exchange 2007 on Nutanix NX 2000 cluster. We have 2 databases one is 80Gb and the other is 10Gb. Prior to upgrading to NoS version 3.5.3.1 our experience was mixed. We had daily disconnects between Outlook 2007 and the Exchange server. We expect this on users who have large mail boxes with too many items in one folder (often in the thousands). However it was also happening for users who had small mail boxes with little contents. In addition our Veeam backup software was unable to backup the Exchange VM due to VSS errors. Now we are on NoS 3.5.3.1 the issues above have gone. In the 2 weeks since we had the upgrade we have not had any users reporting Outlook disconnections. In addition our Exchange vm now backs up successfully every night. We have seen the articles regarding Exchange on NFS from Microsoft but I would say our recent experience of Exchange on Nutanix is a good one. Please let me know if I can help any further.
