If you have IPMI (assuming you’re using SuperMicro), use the html5 console instead of the java one, much easier
You need to license the VM's itself, nothing to do with your Hypervisor. Microsoft Windows Standard licenses allow you to run 2 VOSEs on 1 license, and you need at least 16 core licenses. So in regards to your VM's 2 or 3 (*16 core) Standard License Microsoft Windows Datacenter licenses allow you to run unlimited VOSEs on 1 licenses, but you need to license ALL cores in your cluster (in this case 8*16 core) Best is to always discuss with your sales rep for your licenses.

Hi @swee han, you can do this also from the UI. Select the VM, click update, scroll down till you see VM Host Affinity and click + Set Affinity.This can be done online, no need to power down the VM

@swee han, my bad, I misread your post. Indeed you need to enable this via the CLi, but the VMs do not need to be powered down. It just takes some time before the ADS (Acropolis Dynamic Scheduler) kicks in
+1 on @Tony_S tip. Playing around with your "own” LAB provides more flexibility. Part of setting up my own homelab was also ensuring this was documented in a series of blogposts, which made me also help to think things through (why am I doing this)
Hi @DannyS ,5.15.1 is the latest LTS release and released at March 24th. All STS releases are released earlier (5.19.1.5 is released March 16th) hence you cannot upgrade to a STS version. You need to wait for a new release (either LTS or STS), or reinstall your cluster. Versioning can be deceiving, always check the release date to understand which version is the latest.
