Is DELL Appassure one of the partners? Seeing its a nutanix partner for its appliances... I've already put in a request on the DELL side, but would be good to see requests from nutanix side as well
Thanks I had logged this with DELL Support 2 days ago and seem to be hitting brick walls with them. I had asked when I logged the case for it to have been passed through to you guys as yet nothing. Spent another 3 hours on phone again today with one of their LVL 2 guys (who was great) only to reiterate my findings yet again and who was supposed to have logged a ticket with Nutyanix support, as yet nothing has shown up in my support portal this end. So very frustrated as this is blocking me on this weekends migration we have scheduled and have been wrestling this issue since last weekend.
Just checking my last email received this evening it appears to have been logged with you guys Nutanix Case: 00059733 however Not showing up in my portal.
Yes I'm also interested to find what the isssue is, is a strange one, but hopefully has a simple solution.
hmmm spoke too soon....sigh Lockups have gone since TZ changes, but now possibly a coincidence, Time is still out on VM reboot by -8 hours which just so happens to be the time difference for my timezone (Australia/Perth) GMT+8. Will investigate further.
+1 is there a roadmap where this feature is scheduled will be added? or is a a blue sky thing?
Great to Know Thanks Jon
many thanks that sorted it
Also interested in this topic as we're implementing Sharepoint / SQL enterprise SA on Nutanix. I was under impression that we license the cores of the VM i.e. if we license SQL 8 cores then we can either use either 1 SQL server with 8 cores configured or x2 with 4 each etc. or alternatively if we license all cores in the cluster for SQL server then we can run as many instances as we like. The minimium cores required to be licensed is 4 the document I've based this on is a pdf document linked in this page https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/licensing/learn-more/brief-server-virtual-environments.aspx
Looking for this myself is there any updates for this? Thanks
Hi Hong What DHCP and DNS setting are you referring too as I'm having exactly the same issue. Is this settings in the vm network vlan you're referring to, i.e. nutanix managed the IP? Thanks Stephen
great thanks @hong will give that a go
my issue ended up being prism central time not syncing correctly and was out by 10 minutes causing the install to fail with a TLS certificate invalid. Once I corrected the time issue, cluster installed aok!
