I have 4.1.5 and confirm it is still limited to 50 for Async DR . The interface has not changed that I can tell though I wish it would.
I believe the minumum number of 6035-C nodes per cluster is 2. Cheers! Joe
I also do not use deduplication to reduce the memory overhead for the CVM. CMV memory requirements can be expensive on a 128GB host. I strongly encourage everyone to start with 256GB. Starting with 128GB is a choice I regret. I run about 50 active VMs/host and 60 or 70 total in inventory. On one of my clusers, an 8 node 3000 series, I have 460 VMs using 23TB. I get 1.63:1 compression saving for approx 9TB raw capacity (or 11.5TB logical saving 4.5TB logical with 10TB logical free).
I installed 4.5 a short time after it was released. I upgraded my AHV cluster then my Prism Central. I recommend upgrading them in the reverse order :) The release notes advise the Installation procedure is in the Prism Web Console Guide. Did you follow the Prism Web Console Guide? It sounds like you did. I run Prism Central on ESX. I haven't tried on my AHV cluster yet. Thanks, Joe
Hi I frequenty migrate VMs between VMware and Nutanix clusters though I use the thick client and not the VMWare web client. I even do this across datacenters across the world. I have VMware 5.5 In Vcenter, I have 3 Datacenters. Each with multiple clusters that contain individual Nutanix clusters. I only have Nutanix inthis specific vCenter instance. I am able to migrate from any datacenter to any host in my vCenter.
