Hi @quacksh0t These errors are spotted if connected gbic transceivers in our 10gb interfaces. This can cause ethtool report 10/100/1000 speeds inaccurately, causing phoenix / foundation to fail with the error shown in the description. Could you. please confirm the speed of the interface with the help of the following command ethtool eth<interface> Also please confirm if the drivers are loaded correctly with the help of the following commandlspci -m
Hi @Sayo This alert is triggered when there is a newer snapshot present on the cluster than the one that is used to replicate the current PD. This alert that gets generated while replication is in progress is a valid condition and will hold true when the replication is slow.If replication becomes slow and the subsequent newer snapshots are available this alert is generated. KB-4282I guess in this case if the snapshot size is bigger or if the network bandwidth is slow during that time then there are chances existing replication gets slow and in the meantime, a newer snapshot is generated. If this is happening frequently then you can either increase the network bandwidth or increase the time duration between two snapshots.
@Prasanta Kumar The change will impact all virtual machines and volume groups served by Nutanix Volumes and it may lead to degraded performance in some instances. Therefore, this should not be done without understanding the exact requirement of why to do. Also, there could be other ways to solve the issue as it varies from instance by instance. So may I know why you want to change it from 4K to 512? A short answer to your questions is yes, there is a way to change from 4k to 512 bytes but the steps are internal.
Hi @Chong Cheng Chiang It is not advisable to run some nodes with 5.10.5 and some with 5.17.1 in the same clusterOne of the possible solution is to upgrade the existing cluster to 5.17.1 and then new nodes with 5.17.1 to the same cluster so that removal and addition of the existing node time are saved.
Nutanix Collector is a desktop application that collects cluster statistics from your VMware or Prism cluster. This output can then be viewed in Nutanix collector or can be downloaded as an Excel file. You can then upload these Excel files into Nutanix Sizer to size and predict future workloads or just to collect statistics on current usage. I hope you are using the latest version of the Nutanix Collector 3.1, if not please try with 3.1 Also, may I know is it for Mac, Windows or Linux machine? I hope you have crossed verified in prism for the stats of the CPU and Memory are visible in prism.
Hello @newlinksolutions For most desktop workloads like Excel, pdf, Word and so on for that its recommend using the default block size. Desktop loads can be very mixed so switch to one or the other share types may affect performance. Also regarding adjusting block size I guess Nutanix Files Workload Optimization should help!
Hi @mandg please add the newer path to the PSModulePath environment variable. When you type $eve:PSModulepath, you will get an output similar to thisPS C:\Users\Administrator.PROD> $env:PSModulepathC:\Users\Administrator.PROD\Documents\WindowsPowerShell\Modules;C:\Program Files\WindowsPowerShell\Modules;C:\Windows\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\;D:\Microsoft SQL Serverx86\120\Tools\PowerShell\Modules\ That is the PSModulePath output in my system. Please add D:\Microsoft SQL Serverx86\120\Tools\PowerShell\Modules to the environment variables Once this is done, please make sure that "Import-Module SQLPS" the command completes successfully from PowerShell before beginning the DB server registration. If still, this doesn’t help then please open a support case and I will help you to get this DB registered.
Hi @EricUMD So what I have understood is that there was a power outage and the node remained powered off and when power restored you need to manually power on the node by pressing the power button, is that correct? And you want the node to get power on automatically when the power restores? If you are looking for the IPMI log for this even then it can be found in the following locationTo capture the IPMI SEL Logs:1. From your web browser, open the IPMI page of the host.2. Click on Server Health -> System Management Logs. 3. Click on ALL EVENTS in log category, select ALL SEVERITIES, and click SAVE.
Hi @mandg as per the ERA 2.0 Guide it says before you beginInstall SQL Server SQLPS PowerShell module May I know what is the current version of the SQLPS PowerShell module? Also could you please check if SQLPS module exist in the following path, where your sql server is installed? We prefer to have the SQLPS version that comes along with the SQL Server Installation.D:\Microsoft SQL Serverx86\120\Tools\PowerShell\Modules\SQLPS\SQLPS.psd1
Hi @Pablo Alejandro 1-) Is it possible to use " 2 stacked switches " as TOR with AHV? there will be a problem if we use this configuration? Yes, that's as per best practice because it provides redundancy at the switch level 2-) The best practice is to use 2 Stacked switches or 2 individual switches? Here is the guide for AHV networking Best Practice you follow that https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/solutions/details?targetId=BP-2071-AHV-Networking:top_ahv_networking_best_practices.html The best practice is connecting the two 10g links coming from the server to two separate 10g switches for redundancy purposes. We plug 1 SFP to SW1 and the other SFP to SW2, the active-passive configuration will work? Yes, it should work
Hi @Pablo Alejandro so you mean 4 10-Gig separate SFP+ modules connected to single host?In-order to separate traffic between VMs and CVMs you can pin CVMs on br0 using 2-10GbE pNICs and UVMs on br1 using 2-10GbE pNICs. Here is the AHV networking guidehttps://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/solutions/details?targetId=BP-2071-AHV-Networking:BP-2071-AHV-Networking
Hi @Chadd Under certain conditions, tomcat may fail heartbeats and once this happens 3 consecutive times, the service will restart. If the service restarts 8 times in 4 hours, this alert is raised. You can refer below KB articlehttps://portal.nutanix.com/kb/000008524 May I know the current NCC and AOS version?
