Connecting Cloud Innovators: Building Community at .NEXT 2024
Also Pedro, are you using Linux or Windows Guest Operating system and which versions etc?
Hi, If you filter by version 3.0 you will see all the 3.0 Phoenix images. Including 3.0.4, which includes NOS / Acropolis Base Software 4.5.1.2. ESXi 5.5 U3a and ESXi 6.0 u1a are both supported.
Also there is no Nutanix system that supports ESXi 4.x at all. The ealiest version that was supported was ESXi 5.0, which very few environments run on these days. The vast majority of environments are on ESXi 5.1 and 5.5, with people starting to look at 6.0.
Yes, those versions cover all hypervisors. But you don't need Phoenix with Foundation 3.0. I would suggest you get in touch with your local Nutanix team to help get you up and running. There is also training available through the partner portal that covers most of these topics.
Hi , While we are working towards having a Nutanix Solution for SAP HANA it is not availble yet. We plan to develop a solution that leverages our web scale capabilities and combines that with improvments in end user experience for SAP environments. This will take some time, as will the necessary certification processes, which we are working with our partners and SAP on. No timeframe is availble at this stage. Public announcements will be made when there is some progress to announce. We can help customers experiment and evaluate non-production HANA instances on Nutanix where full SAP support is not required. This will be the case until full certification and support is availble from SAP and Nutanix. Kind regards, Michael
Best mode is Performance in my experience. This is the simplest and highest performance mode. Allows the best possible utilization and consistency of performance.
There are no updates as yet. We are still in the planning stages with SAP and our key partners on this initiative.
Hi Coleman, This is already available and on the support portal and on the Nutanix bible. We have supported Windows Failover Clusters since AOS 4.1.5 and 4.5. There is also a best practice guide for Block Services availble on our web site. So it could be time to re-evaluate it. Sorry, just read it's the online expansion of LUN's. That's a two phase problem. One Windows Clusters don't support online extention of LUN's unless you use Veritas. Secondly we will be supporting online expansion in our next software release. The way to expand until then is by adding an additional disk, which can be done online.
Thanks for brining this to our attention. We will get the link fixed. In the meantime you should be able to access the document through the Nutanix Support Portal. The url is https://portal.nutanix.com/#/page/solutions/details?targetId=SN-2040_VMware_NSX_for_vSphere:SN-2040_VMware_NSX_for_vSphere.
I got the orignal URL fixed yesterday. But you can still access the content through the support portal under Solutions Documentation. So please use the original url or the one on the support portal https://portal.nutanix.com/#/page/solutions/details?targetId=SN-2040_VMware_NSX_for_vSphere:SN-2040_VMware_NSX_for_vSphere. Please make sure to copy the complete URL.
If you click on the URL it will take you to the portal. If you copy and paste it will not work as this tool truncates it.
