I guess they can, however, it’s unsupported! But if you install some old VirtIO from back in the days when XP was supported from Fedora it might work! Nutanix have no VirtIO that’s supporting WinXP that i know of. But take a look here: https://fedorapeople.org/groups/virt/virtio-win/direct-downloads/Install the VirtIO drivers prior to running Nutanix Move, and then move the VM without credentials, try to boot. No guaranties, but atleast you have a safe rollback plan if it does not work:connet network on Source VM Power Source VM onhope that helps :)
Haven’t seen that yet. Might try to reboot Prism Central again tomorrow. Any clue in the logs?
We run 2020.9.0.1, not any problems applying labels, but i get some kind of wierd warning after applying label saying that its in invalid status an needs to be cleared! But after clearing that and reapplying the label it works as expected :)
Where are u running Foundation? Portable on Windows machine it seams. Try downloading Foundation for Virtual Box, install the foundation Appliance on Virtual box and try again, i spent six hours back in october with troubbleshooting Portable Foundation for windows. Downloaded VirtualBox and ran foundation from that Linux Appliance, worked first try after changeing to that approach! Look at this KB how to set up VirtualBox https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=Field-Installation-Guide-v4-0%3Av40-cluster-environment-foundation-t.html
Currently working for GDM witch is a local MSP here in Sundsvall Sweden, long history of Hyper-V and VMware, set up our first Nutanix Block, a 3460 G7 14th October, currently migrating customers in to the new plattform. hopfully there will be more X-boxes filling the datacenter soon :D
Ok!So i just got this solved by support. There was a category for this project witch was stale. So support used a script called remove_stale_entries.py. CAUTION!Use this only after verifying with support that it’s safe. But for CE users, it might help :)import envimport argparsefrom insights_interface.insights_interface_pb2 import *from insights_interface.insights_interface import *interface = InsightsInterface('127.0.0.1', 2027)parser = argparse.ArgumentParser()parser.add_argument("--uuid", nargs="*", required=True, help="Enter stale entity's UUID as a list separated by space", default=[])parser.add_argument("--entity_type", required=True, help="Enter the type of entity. Example : task,vm etc. ")parser.add_argument("--cas", help="Use this flag for deleting CAS entities, else deletion will fail", action="store_true", required=False)if len(sys.argv)==1: parser.print_help() sys.exit(1)args = parser.parse_args()entity_list = args.uuidentity_type = args.entity_typecas = args.casg = G
Have you tried to boot the VM in legacy mode? Does that give you any other results? It’s been a while since i ran Move from hyper-v but i remember i had some problems with getting then iscsi virtio drivers to install automatically. So wondering if you pre migration manually install the Nutanix VirtIO driver package could help? There is a similar Thread here, that might help: UEFI Servers do not boot after V2V to AHV using Move 3.3.1
