Question

Prism Central fails to upload ISO image with "Upload stream failed" error

Badge
Using Prism Central 5.5 and trying to upload Plop Boot ISO imagehttps://via image service/browser. Fails every time with "Upload stream failed" error. Can mount ISO locally just fine, have also used it in our vSphere environment. Have tried multiple browsers on multiple machines. Anyone have an alternate method to get this ISO uploaded to my cluster? Insight as to why the failure might be happening?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @asb-mosaic , currently, the Prism only supports importing and configuring OS ISO and disk image files for an AHV cluster. You can refer to https://portal.nutanix.com/#/page/docs/details?targetId=Web-Console-Guide-Prism-v55:wc-image-configure-acropolis-wc-t.html#ntask_wyq_xx4_ct
or

One another thing, is your cluster also 5.5?

@harryhy, the cluster is also on 5.5.

Not quite true. To create a new Windows VM, the virtIO drivers ISO must be imported and mounted if the drivers haven't been previously injected into the install media.

I just successfully uploaded a different non-OS ISO image as a test. I believe it must be an issue with the Plop Boot ISO. I'll see if I can create my own ISO for that utility.

I'm encountering this same error with PC 5.6.1. @asb-mosaic, did you ever come up with a solution?

Same error here. Multiple browsers error, multiple files (qcow2, ISO, vmdk). I'm really frustrated by this kind of errors....

Have been facing this issue also.
worked arround the issue by uploading via sftp directy to the storage container.
Use this manual by virtual dennis https://www.virtualdennis.com/using-sftp-to-transfer-images-and-other-files-to-a-nutanix-storage-container/

you can then clone youre image via adsf.

hope it helps
