Migration Issue

Badge +3
Does Xtract support the Migration of a win 2016 server from ESXi to AHV.

I am trying to do this and get the message

  • This VM is not on the AHV supported OS list. To proceed with migrating this VM, please be sure to bypass guest operations and take care of installing AHV device drivers separately.

@BAMNutanix it should be possible to migrate windows 2016 to AHV with Xtract. Can you do me a favor and open a ticket with our support team and send them a copy of the support bundle? One thing to check is to identify which OS is selected for the VM from vCenter. is windows 2016 selected or some other OS?

I'll be heading that way shortly, but found this link within another forum here. https://next.nutanix.com/t5/Server-Virtualization/What-are-the-guest-OS-supported-on-AHV/td-p/24093 and here - https://portal.nutanix.com/#/page/docs/details?targetId=AHV-Admin-Guide-v51:vmm-vm-driver-types-r.html

a quick 'google search' seems to relate to the 'hardware hcl' reference of equipment but that's probably not your issue. could it be a 'bus or scsi' driver issue?
