X-Ray 2.2 & TPCx-HCI benchmark spec conformance

Badge
Hi All,

Does the latest X-Ray 2.2 conform to the TPCx-HCI benchmark spec? I cannot find approvals or disapprovals for this information on nutanix.com besides nutanix took part in creating this benchmark.

Thanks,

X-Ray supports mixed workload testing (the DB Co-Location test) which might be pertinent to what you are looking for.

Including TPCx-HCI as a workload into X-Ray is part of X-Ray's roadmap, and is currently being investigated.

By the way, X-Ray 2.2 also provides users an ability to customize the workload (export the workload -> modify the fio config file -> import it as a new test).

We used a lot of the ideas from X-Ray when we created TPCx-HCI, specifically simulating failure and measuring competing workloads. My team developed X-Ray and I sit on the TPC committee so there is a lot of cross-pollination. We will implement the TPCx-HCI in X-Ray framework as long as the license allows for it.
