The NUG praise train keeps rollin’. We’re honoring our members, Champs, and everyone from Nutanix who supports NUG and has helped us grow. Let’s celebrate those who are a part of our NUG community!

Busier than Ever: This has been our best year yet! We had more NUG meetings than ever before throughout 2019. This wouldn’t have happened without the strong leadership from our Champs and dedication from our members.

Check out the hit list below of chapters that held multiple meetings, packed the house, hosted at unique venues, and last but certainly not least, our social media standouts.

Chapters that held 3 or more meetings for the year:

  • Atlanta @glennwbaker @bijusamuel
  • Charlotte @girardsc Paul Johnson, Reza Ashrafi
  • Omaha @selgan @dsailors @patrbng @ozzy01
  • Bogotá @jedamian09
  • Central Ohio @jdcorder & Joshua Mancil
  • Dallas
  • Houston
  • Michigan
  • Nashville
  • Philadelphia
  • Singapore @renny-lui

Largest Meeting: Atlanta had 70+ attendees at its June 2019 meeting held at the QTS Data Solutions office. Way to go @glennwbaker and @bijusamuel, our fearless Atlanta Champs, and special thanks to Tim Cook, Nutanix SE, for his continued support!

Most Unique Venue: NUG meetings were held in all types of venues including breweries, restaurants, hotels, and activity centers such as Dave & Buster’s and Topgolf. This year the most unique venue we held a meeting at was Axe & Archery Games of Omaha. Local Champs @selgan @dsailors @patrbng and @ozzy01 had a great time connecting and networking with NUG members over axe throwing and archery games.

Steve Elgan, Champ, had the following to say about their final NUG meeting of 2019:
“The Omaha NUG had a great time playing dodge ball (with archery) and throwing axes...Had our largest turnout to a meeting yet. We celebrated 2 years of Omaha NUG meetings. Was a great time for everyone. The archery was a hit!”

Check out more highlights on Twitter from the Omaha NUG chapter!

Social Media Stars: Calgary Champ, Faisal Jaiwad (@faisal.jawaid-63640) led his very own breakout session at .NEXT Anaheim this year and continued to feature NUG happenings on his Twitter and blog. Wouter Kursten (@Magneet_NL), Netherlands Champ, stepped up the NUG social media presence and actively promoted his chapter across multiple platforms, including his blog, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn

We loved watching all of our Champs actively promoting the NUG program on their social media platforms this year. Thank you for helping us evangelize Nutanix and the User Group Program!

Huge thanks to all of our Champs for their time and commitment as well as all of the NUG members and Nutants that help make this program so successful. Before we officially close out 2019 and ring in the New Year we would love to hear what YOU loved most about NUG 2019. Share a story, drop a pic, or share a link to a NUG 2019 highlight in the comments below! Keep up with us and subscribe to the NUG Forum and follow @nutanix_ug on Twitter#NCUG #WhereYouBelong
