Hi all,
For a customer, I have a many-to-one replication implemented.
On the DR-site, I want to back-up all VMs on the AHV cluster with Commvault...
However, because the VM's are in a protection Domain, Commvault cannot discover them, so a back-up is not possible...
Solution might be to export all vms from the latest snapshot, backup the vms, and delete the exported Vms from the DR cluster.
I tried to do this with the Powershell shell cmdlets, but not successfully...
Anyone tried this before?
Regards,
Bart

Glad you were able to get it working after the upgrade!
Finally, I opened a call with Nutanix support...
The command Restore-NTNXSnapshot is still under investigation.
Support told me to use Restore-NTNXEntity. There was a bug in it, so I had to upgrade to 4.7(.0.1).
After the upgrade, I was able to restore VMs from the snapshot.

Bart

Hi,
I tried to restore the entire container using Powershell.
I want to use the cmdlet Restore-NTNXSnapshot. To do so I have to provide a parameter RestoreEntitiesRequest_SnapshotId.
But I don't know what this parameter is...
This customer has AHV installed. Virtual Machines has to be known on the DR cluster, so Commvault can recognize them.
When data protection has completed, the virtual machines will be deleted...

Did you happen to try and restoreclone the whole container and you would have reregister the vm's back into vCenter asssuming ESXi. All CBT info would be lost however.
