Failed import VM

Hello everybody,

I installed xtract to test VMs import from VmWare to Nutanix.
I reach the end of the steps but once the plan migration is launched, I have an error:

  • Disk access error: Insufficient permissions in the host operating system
Is there a reason for this message? I have access to Vcenter and Nutanix from Xtract. The root account password is good... I don't understand.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Ok, i solved my problem.

I did not have sufficient rights with my VMware account to disable VMotion when migrating with Xtract.
I increased my access rights on my VMware account and the migration went well.
Thanks for your help!

hi @loume this error maybe coming up due to an issue with VMware tools. Can you confirm if it is up to date and whether you are using open-vm-tools or VMware supplied tools? If you can get a support ticket opened and give us the support bundle we should be able to confirm from the logs pretty quickly.
Hello @jlaunier ,
I use open-vm-tools (up to date) for my VM (CentOS 7). So, i try to uninstall open-vm-tools and install VMware tools (up to date) but the result and error message is the same.
