Hi all,

Forgive me if this is a repeated question. We have POC box and we were using the ESXi until last week and we did a cluster convert from ESXi to AHV with all the pre-requisites and now we are able to access all the VM's which were created in ESXi. But now I am trying to move 1 VM from AHV to VMWare ESXi and I am not able to find a complete document to do that. I have seen some posts about the migration which involves NTNX-AVM but I havent find any document to go through the whole procedure.

Could someone please help me to go through the steps as I need to move 1 VM this week before destroying the cluster ?

Cheers,
Jaffer

Yo can do it in following ways:

1. Convert cluster from AHV to ESXi & migrate VM post conversion.
2. Use below link to convert qcow2 to vmdk.

3. Use VMware convertor to convert VM to ESXi

was this VM created in AHV or ESXi?

Hi,

The VM was created in ESXi and did a in-place cluster convert to AHV.

Hi Vivek,

Thanks for your reply.
I got a question can i convert thin disk to thick in AHV ? If yes how to do that ?

I could be wrong but I don't think there is. Since the Nutanix DFS doesn't right zero's there is no performance benefit to doing thick disk.
