Hi All, I am new to Nutanix AHV and Prism and I am struggling with the new concepts as I have been using VMware for quite a long time. My problem at the moment is not exactly with Nutanix but connectivity with the 2 x X4102 Dell switches - I had an engineer set them up but when I look at them from inside Prism, one is set up with 3 connections and the other has PO1 - which is correct or best? should it be access or trunked to pass the VLANs to the TOR switches? Any assistance gratefully received.

Cheers

as per my knowledge there is no limitation from nutanix side about , you can use with access mode and trucked , it is something your choice , in case due to security concern you don't want your network packet to be untagged you can use with trucked otherwise access mode is okay.

Hi nishantpanchal

Thank you for the pointer, it was very helpful because as I searched for the document I also came across a Dell PowerEdge Best Practices publication. The hosts I have are Dell XC units, and both documents are clear and useful. many thanks
