Hi Team ,
I would like to know what is the command to run on CVM to initiate/start the curator scan on the cluster?
Kindly advise please.

What is the requirement? Curator will usually run when it needs to, invoked either by a schedule or by other services..

He is probably patching his underlying hypervisor or something else which requires reboots, and he want's the cluster to normalize out of critical alert status more rapidly. That, at least, was my use case when I was googling for something similar. 🙂

Hi

Was wondering, do you have a blog? have you considered blogging about it?

Thanks

Same concerns here, I would like to monitor the progress of Curator redistributing blocks across the remaining nodes.
Prism stuck on "Computing..." about data resiliency status for about a while now.

This situation occurs mostly when I update the hypervisor.

Initiating curator scans manually can be done by browsing to the curator master's IP on port 2010 to a specific "control" page as follows: Http://{Curator-Master-CVM-IP}:2010/master/controlFrom there you can choose "partial" or "full" scan. Monitor progress at the :2010/ top-level page.Note, you'll likely have to adjust iptables to open the 2010 port, or *temporarily* stop that service.

Hi

Before we run curator scan, is there any requirement/pre-requisite that we need to fullfil?

Nothing special needs to be done before running a curator scan, but the good news is that in 4.5 that isn't needed anymore.

Curator has additional checks that update the health from red->green much faster after patching a hypervisor. A scan is no longer needed.

is there a way to initiate full/partial/selective scans from the cli? something that can be run from one of the CVMs.
