Hi

I would like to change the IP of the Hosts and the CVMs but not the IPMI (this is in a different subnet anyway).
I have 3 hosts and 3 cvms and a cluster IP I need to change - the cluster is not in production yet so it can be down while I do this - is there a way to do it offline if I have access through IPMI/Idrac/local keyboard? to make the process simpler? Is there a Nutanix script to reconfigure the cluster?

Hi Viking,

The most difficult task when changing addresses on Nutanix is changing the CVM IP addresses and luckily, Nutanix has dedicated a document written about this

https://portal.nutanix.com/#/page/docs/details?targetId=Advanced-Admin-AOS-v55:ipc-cvm-ip-addr-change-t.html

Please take into account that the content of document might be changed due to different AOS versions.
Besides, on this forum there is also other person asked about the same procedure as you are requesting but in deep explanation so you can have a search around first

Similar question so what is the best to handle this if we want to Re-IP Hypervisor and CVM
1) follow the procedure to Re-IP

2 or rebuild the cluster

Since cluster is not in production so thinking behind rebuilding a cluster is just in case nothing get left behind while changing just an IP.

Thank you,

Thanks for the pointer, I had seen this document but I was wondering whether there was a simpler method as I have access to the host idrac and direct access to the host.
