How to disable/disconnect IPMI Port

Hi,
I have disconnected IPMI LAN cable but still i got ping response from IPMI configured IP's???
1.What is the reason.
2.If anything i need do more from other side apart from disconnecting cables.

Hi Kannan,

If you have cables connected to the shared IPMI port it will able to get ping and access IPMI, Nutanix nodes have 1 dedicated IPMI port, and one shared (data+ipmi). By default, the bios setting is configured failover means if no cable connected to dedicated then failover ipmi to shared ipmi port. To change login to IPMI > configuration > Network > Lan interface change to dedicated. which will only enable the dedicated port.
